so i was thinking about that epic the other day (i really like the mechanism of that gun) and i realised that the trap door would work equally well going backwards (in theory). this would allow an incredibly short gun. here is autocad revision one.
valve details are left out. the trap door wraps around the side of the tube. hard to tell w/ no side view. single ram operated ep gun. control solenoid and lpr left out. note that the barrel is only 2 inches shorter than the whole gun. i'm tired, i'll try to work on the design tomorrow.  ------------- Eat The Brisket |

So the ram would be also cylcing the cylcone? Great idea man! Then it could spin as fast you shoot.
