I already have a 98c with a 14 inch J&J Ceramic barrel, and was thinking of getting an SP-8. I just have a few questions.

1. What has better accuracy, the stock SP-8 barrel, or my 14 inch J&J ceramic. Also which one has better range? By how much?
2. How much better is the 19" SP-8 sniper barrel than the stock barrel?

Thanks in advance.

Dont get the SP8. You do realize that'll you'll then have to buy a HPA tank and fast hopper?

Stick with the 98c. Get an Egrip/Ebolt for it and you'll be fine. The JJ is more accurate than the stock SP8 barrel. The "sniper" barrel is a typical SP hoax to get you to buy their stuff. It's no better than the stock barrel.

About range... every straight barrel shooting at the same speed will have the same range, the only exceptions so far, are the Apex and Flatline.

thanks for the replies. also, can someone tell me a barrel better than my current one?

Ebay will probably be the cheapest. But try http://www.countysports.com - www.countysports.com too. And a better barrel would be very expensive. Try looking into    St!ffis or kits.

http://www.countysports.com - www.countysports.com or http://www.tippmannparts.com - www.tippmannparts.com should have Egrips. As for a better barrel, I'd say look into a kit of some sort. Freaks are really nice but you can find Empire ones for pretty cheap and they're not that bad.

The 14" J&J Ceramic is freakin' sweet. For best accuracy use quality paint that fits your barrel well. Also keep the inside of your barrel spotlessly clean and make sure it has a shinny mirror finish.

Um, the only difference between the stock barrel and the 'sniper' barrel is the length..... but I can testify to the accuracy of both.... I can guarantee you that the noise factor between the 'stock' SP8 barrel configuration and the JJ paints quite a different picture. I'll hear you long before you hear me.....proven at Tippman World Challenge '06.
