Heh, I think he's making fun of your typeing any way pretty much any of the guns that Tippmann makes that would do you great in the woods. I've used the 98 custom, A-5, custom pro and the Pro carbine in the woods and they pretty much did the job.

the model 98 cant take the double trigger. and it has limits on what and what it can take and do. the 98 custom is fully customizable

No its not, I would just go with the A-5 its the original and its the best, not some half aced copy cat.

As much as I don't really like the US-5, Carl's right. The only similarity as far as I know is the body style, which was already based off the MP-5.

The US-5 that carl is talking is un-reliable and it IS a knockoff. Whatever you want to say, its a bootleg A5. The difference between a 98 CustOm (Not custum) and a Model 98 is the 98 Custom is more upgradeable. And Sticky 979 dosent own that A5........

/\

youre right all except it being unreliable and a knockoff.

it's very reliable and i doubt you've ever even seen one.

and the word knockoff implies that it's crappy which it's not.

and that it's a copy which its not

bootleg a-5 um.. how have you ever heard of an mp-5? and if you look closely you will notice that the guns are extremely different. the most noticible being the trigger frame. you can remove the entire a5 frame but the us-5 has a solid trigger frame with detachable back.

The one thing that I don't like about the us5 is the foregrip. To be quite honest it’s ugly and distorted looking. The a5 has almost the exact same foregrip found on the mp5k and looks much better.

After all this is the tippmann forums...

i understand and thanks for being mature and giving a real answer

i think the foregrip looks almost the same but whatever.

the us-5 one is improved because you can move it forwards or backwards in battle by twisting  knob at bottom of handle.

If you look at the grip side my side you see the A5 foregrip is more fluid and smooth while the us-5 foregrip is triangular.

After all its just a foregrip...

Also another plus is the A5 has more upgrades made for it. Like you said before you can take the trigger/grip off. I like this so if i ever make a custom rifle grip and stock that mounts there, I can always remount my the original because I didn't have to mill anything on the a5.

Another small plus is the new a5s have a ruff "sand" finish to the body instead of the old shinny finish. This way you don't have problems with chipping paint.

BTW can you mount a cyclone on a us-5?

Posted By: carl_the_sniper
Date Posted: 07 September 2006 at 4:13pm

first off yes on the cyclone but i dont really like it anyways.

yes the a5 foregrip looks a bit better but the us-5 is easier

true on the grip thing and that's why i never made my rifle design.....or not yet (might make out of spyder)

i beleve the green us-5 has ruff finish. (now they even have more colours than the a5s)

but now everyone can see how the us-5 is not a rip off not even for looks
