http://www.steorn.net/frontpage/default.aspx?p=1 - Free Unlimited Energy?
I can't decide if this is a scam, some sort of viral campaign, or a revolution that will be quickly quelled by "The Man"....

its a scam. "Free" energy is impossible, however very cheap energy could happen.

Bull poop, if someone had discovered a way to defy the laws of energy it would be all over the news. Its too fantastic to be beleviable.

Mythbusters seriously did this? I thought this was like really new....
I don't know what to think. I haven't read the whole site but, from what I understand, making any sort of machine 100% efficient is impossible, much less more than that....

I'm also pretty sure oil companies would buy the rights to this so they dont lose money as well.

I'm tempted to agree that it's a big scam, and if it were true then we'd probably hear a lot more about it, or nothing at all.
However, there is a small part of me that considers that physics, and the laws thereof, are held true because we know nothing else. At one time the things we "knew" were so off that it's now laughable. What we don't know or understand is incredible, and it's perfectly conceivable that we'll have a breakthrough like this in the future.

Only if they decided to sell the rights- which would be dumb.

I'm not holding my breath. My guess: This is some elaborate ad campaign for a new car or perfume or something.

Well, selling free limitless energy(giving the original owner a net income of zero) vs selling the rights for millions.
And it has supposedly been done before. I know GM did it with their
electric cars, and there is a rumor somewhere that some guy managed to
drive 100 or so miles on 3-4 ounces of water because he found a way to
perform fission on a small scale, and sold the rights of his
intelectual property to a gas company.
Never checked the voracity of the statement because I never cared enough, though.

Well, If free energy accually did exist it wouldnt be free. It would be more than likely be just like our Gas, Electric, Oil, etc... Bills consolidated into one. Someone would mass produce this free energy and selll it off at low prices so they will have a monopoly on it in years to come.

One that's free, perhaps? It'll be much better than paying $2.99 for an 8 oz. can, then. Not that I ever buy any of that bile, though.
