I've been told to use Swabs on the Flatline.. so far I have yet to find one that does NOT leave white flakes of material in the barrel... so I've resorted to useing the squee-gie that comes with the Flatline which is a Pull-Thru, I don't know many people that use this one however it works great on my Flatline whenever I see oil-particles in it it cleans it right out, is this one okay to use or is there a reason noone uses them? Also, what's a good "Swab" that dosen't leave materials of the floss in it? And are Pull-Thru's like the one I am useing ok? What I mean by that is there are also plastic ones (FLEX) Are those ok?

I'm sure it is fine, I was just wondering if there is a "better" one for the Flatline

Thats what I use on mine. I just put the safety on, flip the elbow down and pull through. Works real well.

I have been using a 4-disc pull-through squeegie for the past five years.  The pull end is long enough to go through the opening under the elbow and exit the barrel before the first disc, so it is very field expedient.  I don't remember if the stock one was long enough to do that, but it should be fine.

If it works for you, it is good enough.

I've never broken a ball in my flatline, so I have no idea what would be best. I suppose I'd use a normal squeegee that has a spring-loaded disk on one end and a cloth on the other end.

To be honost, I never have either, however Diablo Dusk leaves a pink tint in flatline that I use the squeegee to get out. normally I rinse in hot water w\ dish terigent then run the squeegee through it.. I was just thinkin' bout on the field if something happend.. StormyKnight what paintballs do you use?

get a baggie full of 5-10 cotton balls soaked in rubbing alcohol. when playing, push the sight, slide the hopper to the side, drop in a cotton ball, fire, and if necessary, repeat. works like a charm.

The procedure is similar.

After using a battle swab, invert your A5 and remove the hopper.  Then insert a cotton ball soaked in alcohol, and use it to remove any excess paintball debris from the chamber.  Then shoot it down the barrel, and insert a second cotton ball and fire it down the barrel as well.  Re-invert your A5 and attach the hopper.  With a little practice this procedure can be accomplished in 10-15 seconds.

It may just be me, but I would not want to flip my a-5 upside down, take off the hopper, then find a place to sit the hopper while I dig around for the cotton balls. Finally, putting the cotton balls in the cyclone and firing a few times. Im going to say that its gonna take longer than 10-15 seconds. If your letting your guard down for 15 seconds you are going to get bunkered.
