If I run a Pro-Lite with stock internals, and I use a regulator in line, what is the lowest input pressure she will reliably re-cock at? You need a standard style regulator that is easily adjusted on the fly...like a Palmer Stabilizer. Adjust it down till it stops then up until it cycles. You don't even need a gauge for that. -------------

I'm familiar with externally adjustable regulators, I have several including a Stabalizer. This is for an old Pro-Lite that I'm putting back into service and as much as I like her, I'm not going to spend that kind of money. i just got a used prolite and i am wondering the same thing. can i run a direct stab on co2? or will the pressure be too low?

Standard method for a poppet-valve gun: Lower the regulator, shoot over a chrono, note the velocity. start slowly raising the regulator pressure, shoot over a chrono and note the velocity. The 'sweet spot' is where lowering OR raising the reg pressure results in a loss of velocity. This is because at a certain point (the sweet spot) higher pressure will close a poppet valve sooner, resulting in a lower velocity. I cant tell you what PSI to aim for, Ive never tried to find the pressure sweet spot of a pro-lite, but thats how you do it. -------------
