that is false the the egrip wont cause the flatline to break balls.

They work together just fine, especially because you shouldn't chop with the cyclone.

I have used my Flatline with the RT trigger and E-Bolt, and they flipping

I have no issues with my egrip and flatline.  Just make sure you get balls with a smaller bore.

My A-5 rocks with the Egrip. It'll be rocking more after I get the next three mods (APE/QEV/Vortex) installed tomorrow.

You should be good with the ACT. You won't be chopping paint with that. It makes no difference how many balls are fired through the flatline or the rate. It will work dandy!

The APE Rampage board is a drop-in replacement for the stock board in the Egrip.  It has seven firing modes and you can create your own modes if you wish.  It can top out at 25bps.  The QEV (Quick Exhaust Valve) speeds up the cycling rate of the Cyclone Feeder.  The Vortex Mod replaces the stock plastic ratchet in the Cyclone Feeder that is prone to wearing out under high rates of semi and full auto modes.  The replacement is made of aluminum and is a permanent replacement.  It also supposedly lowers the operating pressure of the Cyclone.

I just got the egrip/flatline combo on a new a-5, what can i do to fine tune the firing? I used it today for the first time and every third pb went REAL wild at about 50ft.

you dont make your own modes but you can set debounce and some other things but you can't make up your own modes

personally i think the apex is better

and it is true the flatline breaks more balls

but think about this:

say (not true but) a normal barrel breaks 1 every 100 balls

say a flatline breaks 3/100 balls.

a mechanical gun with a normal barrel breaks a ball every 100 shots

a mechanical gun with a flatline breaks a ball every 30 seconds

now say you were to strap on a egrip that could shoot 10 bps on both guns

the normal-barreled gun would break a ball every 10 seconds, the flatline, every 3 seconds

but still the origional breakage formula works. you are just shooting more balls, giving a greater chance of breaking them

whatever i was bored so i typed that out kinda tired so my math is probably messed.  those were just examples, the numbers were way off but i chose them for simplicity

the flatline is an amazing barrel (though i prefer the apex) you are fine with an egrip
