I want to take my tippmann 98 custom and use the internals in an M1 Garand stock. I've looked on ebay and I can get one of the stocks for pretty cheap in nice condition but not so nice that I don't want to ruin it you know. So anyway the idea is to take my tippmann 98 and modify it to work like an M1 with the enbloc clip for loading so it looks more realistic. Any feedback on how I should go about doing this and if it's even a good idea would be helpful.

make a stock out of wood. it's cheaper plus will make a more effective looking gun.

im currently working on a spring-powered clip design that would be perfect for a small sized mag.

when i finish it i will pm it to you. but it might be more work than what it's worth and will require an insane amount of gun milling

(easy milling that any moron with a drill can do but still lots of it and will ruin gun.)

also put a small co2 tank in the stock.

I'm not good at wood work and I've found them on ebay for like $30. As for you're spring powered cllip design I look forward to hearing more about that. The co2 thing is an issue, havn't decided if I'm going to put the asa in the stock and mill out a place for a tank or 12 gram adapter to go into, or if I'm going to screw the asa onto the bottom of the handle of the stock.

I am going to have to mill out the stock a little bit carl, I thought you were telling me to make my own, there's no way in hell I can do that. However I'm ok with milling wood and have to to fit the tippmann in there.

M1 Garands are sick. This will look very nice if done right.

Has anyone seen Airsoft M1 Garands?

They call it MilSim.

Been done tens of thousands of times.

Nice try though.

My friend put his 98 in an M1 carbine stock, it looks awsome. Though what you are planning is alot more difficult, it will look pretty cool though when you are done.

i was telling you to make your own... really not that hard could be accomplished with a chunk of wood and a lot of sandpaper (if you didn't have any other tools at your disposal.)

but yeahi i guess you could mill out a stock... just wouldn't be as good.

I understood that but 1st I'm not that good at woodwork and 2nd I want it authentic.

if you do pursue this, in the end i will be anything but authentic. an authentic custom marker... oxymoron? but apart from technicalities, it's an awesome idea that i hope you can pull of tastefully...

IDK Ive seen some 98s & A5s with stocks on them, just doesnt look like it would be cumpfy. I think MILSIM can only go so far and wood is pushing it. IF you really what to go with wood go with some kind of plastic or fiberglass. itll be lighter.

My father carried a M1 Garand in the army. it is NOT the lightest rifle ever made. It has the lightest kick of any 30-06 rifle for a reason

hey Guy, havent seen you in awhile.
