well i bought my ion for 150 bucks...i only have a new trigger and a new feedneck on it...I dont know why but im not happy with it, i have always wanted an icd promaster but i couldnt pass up buying an ion for 150 bucks. Now i do still want a promaster but its i think 450 bucks...i dont want the 250 doller one. I dont like selling my guns but i dont know i might just sell my ion. Unless i can be happy with it. Now im just confused, should i just sell my ion or keep it and see if i can be happy with it? anyway sorry if this was stupid but ya...

I am guessing this is your first gun in the mid-high end area. Don't expect a gun that cost a fraction of the price of a brand new angel or ego to perform like the top dollar guns. It is a well built gun that can take a beating.

Option A: Sell it... of course then you are stuck without a marker until you buy a new one. And if you don't have the money to buy what you want, you are stuck.
Option B: Keep it... play with it until you get within $100 of the marker you want, then sell or trade the Ion, add your cash and you have your new marker.
Thats about it...

I know what exactly what your going threw... I went threw "this
problem" with my old E98c. It's a great marker there is just "somthing"
about it that doesn't click with you.
Put it this way, I went threw 2 Impulses, a E-cocker, a A5, and then I
ended up right back where I was, except... Its' not nearly as
customized as my E98c was...
My Strong Advise is to go to your local Proshop and just "Feel" some
markers... Then look around to what you like... Ions are... diffrent, I
went paintballing a few weeks ago and litterly 6 out of the 10 kids on
my Team had Ions, and all of them were basically stock, infact in the
end a few kids ended up playing with each others markers on
Accident....
If your looking for a Decent marker that No one really Has and are under $400, look at these ones.

Those are just some ideas. Or you could buy somthing like a 04'
Cocker($189(BNIB)) and just build it... or you cna litterly build a
cocker from the ground up.

Keep it for awhile. Look for upgrades that appeal to you and can make it different from everyone elses. Play with it for awhile and if you still dont like it, you can sell it and begin to save for a PM.

i got an ion, and it is my first mid/high end marker. before that i used a scratched up-paintpeeled-m98. i dont think ill ever upgrade. i'm fine with the stock one. 17 bps is fine for me! in your situation, i would just use the stock ion, and save up for what you really want; take some time to think about what kind of gun you want before you buy one. but for now... the ion is good enough i think
P.S.- I went to an amateur tournament at the local field by me and i swear, 65% of the people had ions. lol

Get a ProMaster man. And why do you say you dont want the $250 ones? They are just the same as the $370 ones. THey had a price drop and not everywhere has changed the prices yet.
Promasters are way better guns than ions. They come stock with a QEV (Ions dont), faster board (uncapped) really nice trigger (Some of my freinds pay $40 for a new trigger for their ion and still like my stock promaster trigger better) One of my freinds's ion stock trigger actually broke in half while playing. They are a little lighter and just all around better guns.

There is the Promaster and there is the Lasoya Promaster.
The Lasoya Promaster is basically the same as the regular promaster but with a different trigger, milling and paintjob.
Right here Promaster for $250 EXACT same as the ones for $370.

I wouldn't suggest an Omen like said earlier. Of course I don't think you are leaning that way. I have heard bad things about the Omen that it is hard to get to work properly, but when they do work, they mow faces.

You know, another option is to find a nice used DM4... they can be had in the $400 range... the original DYE and Gen-E Matrix are down around $250-300 used with eyes.
Both are great markers only a couple years old and they used to be the high dollar markers.

What about a Sonic Cyborg, but why not any DMs other Matrixes(or Matrices)? Don't like spools? Because I would alos recommend a Viking. 05 Egos have been dropping also, I've seen them around $450, but just a few. If you like poppets you can try Timmys or if you like Spring return you can look into the Minion.

05' Intimidators are GREAT for the price. They lack the uber cool
milling but a Timmy is a timmy, when your getting bunkerd is that
special little milling pattern REALLY going to help?
Have you also thought about a Power Fusion? They are FASOR(like BKO's
Dragon "the one" etc..) BUT they operate more like a Timmy then
anything. Check em' out there deffinetly worth the glance.
http://www.paintballgateway.com/dangerouspower.html - Power Fusion
Edit: The Defiant is just like any other Intimidator, it's a little bit
more Heavy then an Alias(due to lack of milling on the Defiant) But it
works just like anything Bob long has made.

Yah^^I love the DP fusion, they dropped down from the original price
I know what your going through, its the same with my impulse, i loved it at first, then, i didnt. I cant find that right gun for me. Im worried with the promaster, that it will be like the bushmaster series and get a new design every year and make resale horrid
then i like mags now, but i dont know if im ready to go back to a mech
In that price range, new guns look at the Defiant2(i used to love these), the Nerve(stopping production), Promaster(huge price drop to $250) then the Lasoya Promaster, which is the one over $340, just has new milling, i beleive differnt bolt, and some other differnt things, i can find them out if you want, but people on ICD forums pretty much say there is no need to spend more money for it.
All i can say is if your like me... Good luck, you'll need it, and keep looking at the Pbnation b/s/t section

Well thats the thing, i dont really want to add money to my setup,
what id like to do is get a classic valved mag, with a palmers stab. and get rid of my HPA tank.
heres the setup id like to have- ULT, ULE, classic valve(w/ RT on/off and .720 pin), intelliframe, and maybe a stabilizer, Level 10 would be nice too....I had an offer of an Xvalved mag, pretty much like the one i would like my setup to have but better, he said to add $40, but then id have more money into my setup....I think that is prolly the best deal i would get, no one else has offered my anything like it yet.
I guess if i said i would add my 88/45 in a trade if they added i would be happy(id use co2 + palmers). Im starting to play less, plus im starting to drive in a 2 weeks, and im not trigger happy so i dont have a great need for speed.
