Hey, don't be knockin' the RM. They are amazing guns when you get them running right.

I thought you were better than the idiots that go "OMG! Brass Eagle! It t3h suXorz!" Research it.

And it wasn't the first electro, but I'm not sure about electro auto...

The rainmaker was before Brass Eagle became crappy. It's probably the best gun they made and it's a decent electro.

Several members have them. I believe DsXz has one. Contact him to get more info. I'd probably go for the trade...be different.

I don't really like any of Brass Eagle's products, their very, very poor in quality.

Rainmaker:

Electro-pneumatic-not a cocker

Cocker threaded barrels.

operates somewhat like a cocker

extremely kick-ass.

plenty of options for upgrades.... though not a whole lot.

______________________

the RM in the pic, has a decent reg and grips and ect..  Plus, it's custom milled.  Also, it still has the stock barrel, which is good, because they came with kickass barrels.  You would rip that guy off hardcore if all he wants is your A-5.....

Also, the first Electro-Pneumatic was the Pneu-Ventures "Shocker".  The shocker was later made by Smart Parts.

Ok, let's say it how it is now. BRASS EAGLE as of NOW, 2006, is a VERY BAD paintball company, they make horrible guns and HORRIBLE paint. Any new-comers know this... old paint-ball players have played with the old-school brass-eagle guns that were built decently... not anymore so people can stop saying Brass Eagle is good, because it isn't anymore.. remember, we are in the year 2006, not 2002! Rainmakers are basically dead and becoming near-impossible to repair because it's so hard to find. END.

its a piece of paintball history and its ignorant to bash a perfectly good product just because the company sold out later down the road.  merc just shared with me something interesting: BE baught out autococker.  so do the old autocockers (pre2004) suck?  no of course not.  now quiet.

i wouldn't say that...  sure, the quality is really sliding...  but it still gets new players into the sport.  players usually decide then if they like the game or don't.

but have you seen the new colors for the karnivorr?  lmao...  they're so fruity they're kinda cool..  but anywho, the only reason the quality isn't sliding in WGP, is because Bud Orr wouldn't allow it (yet).  but cockers are becoming less poplular now...  dead technology, i guess..

Brass Eagles Quality has always been hit or miss. I remember some of their guns for about 1991. Try looking up the silver eagle and you will see what I mean. As far as a Rainmaker goes, I'de skip it and look at something else.

so lets just say, for sake of argument that in 2009 the only thing that tippmann still makes/sells are those awful looking triumph guns.
does this make the a5 a piece of junk?

most rainmaker parts can be jerry rigged from other guns including cockers and angles or just use industrial pneumatics...

after the fact that the rain maker uses pneumatics to recock it its not realy like an autococker. its more like a sterling. (hybrid between nelson and sheridan valve systems)

its a great gun that can be picked up for 80-120$ most of the time.
