Same old stuff I know. Figured I would try my hand on it. Put some primer down to make it look smooth. Lots of filing, dremeling, sanding, and a touch of bondo. Still more to file on the rear site. Haven't started the front site yet. Thinking of maybe a custom centerfeed. I have big plans for the other side. But you will have to wait to see those. So far I have milled the letters, fore grip, velocity lip, and some of the rear site. I also filled in the cocking slot and part of the handle. Open to comments, suggestions, compliments, and flaming.

Thanks. It might take me a while to get it just they way I want it. Life is too busy and that takes a lot of work. The compliments will get me back in the workshop tomorrow though.

I'm the forum's newest designated Flamer , so here goes ;
Your primer looks "Green"
The sides of your marker are too smooth
and where'd the cocking slot go ?!?
Nice job on the milling so far , cant wait to see the finished product

The green effect must be the lighting. It's grey. What do you mean too smooth? It's like your saying I did too good of a job on the milling. (Not trying to sound conceded, I just don't understand.) Cocking slot is filled in because I want to put in a rear cocking kit or a LPK.
Also, the second set of pictures I posted shows that I filled in where the nut used to be. I had to mention it because I thought it was a real feat. I have done it to all but the nut on the front site. I still need to sand and smooth them out. More pictures later on down the road.

Do it. It's a great project if you are bored. But it can get kind of in depth and takes a long time. Good luck if you attempt it.

He-He , I was trying to give you a compliment (Thinly veiled in the form of a "Flame"), the millwork looks like you know what you're doing ! The primer doesnt really matter what color , its going to be painted over , right ?

Sorry. I misunderstood you. Well in that case, thanks. I'll try to get some more done the rest of the week and get some pictures up. Thanks all.

I kind of effed up with a new primer I am using. I sanded it to early and it got all gummy on me. I will fix it tomorrow but here are some recent pics. Filled in the paragraph, and four of the six nut holes. Still have to get a pinhole filled on the nut located on the rear site. Slowly but surely.

looks very nice. I wish I was that good with putty/bondo. alot of the stuff I tried to fill still looks a little bit off if you look at it at the right angle.

Make sure you sand everything flat. Use a sanding block so you sand your bondo down to the level of your metal and not any lower. Then it is just a matter of paint - sand - paint - sand - paint - sand. You get the hang of it eventually.
