I have been working on an AutoMag project for a few days now. A bit short, but It will be done in a few weeks. Now that I have been paying attention to my minimag, I have noticed, it is quite small, as all the internals are in the back, and the barrel takes up three quarters of what body there is. Earlier today, I was surfing around pbnation, and found this picture of some dudes a5... It was with a regular collapsable stock, however he had it without a barrel. That got me thinking... Why don't I make an a5 type body, but change it around some, and add a stock to the back. Instead of the barrel threads in the front. Put them in the back. Move the cyclone way back also. Now, so far, what are you thinking? WTF am I moving things back? Well... Just look at these a5 internals off of warpig.

Now, do you see this?
Now, add 2 and 2 together. What was I talking about earlier. Mags, moving stuff around. Now, a5 internals, and a stock. Look at the stock now...
From what I have seen with the stocks I have owned, and the a5's I have owned. Hollow out one of those stocks, and it seems some a5 internals would fit.
so far, I have run into two problems, which I am working on solutions.
First, the asa. That should be easy though. I just don't have an a5, or a stock any more, and need some detailed pictures, with a new case of cappuccino's. So far though, Im thinking of a new tombstone, which would accept macroline fittings. It would have to be run on remote then though... but its not like milsimmers are not used to that

Second, how am I going to pull the trigger. on the current a5, the trigger pushed the sear, which let go of the bolt. Now, since they will be a ways apart, that won't work out so well. However, I have come up with a potential solution, however the marker would have to be electronic then. That would be a bonus in many area's though. Shorter, Softer Trigger Pulls, Modes, other things, etc. I have owned many high ender's. Anyways, think of any of them. They all have a microswitch. The trigger pushes the microswitch, which signals for the board to send an electronic impulse through a wire to the solenoid, which fires the marker. My potential solution for this is to have exactly that. A wire runs through the gun into the stock, and well, basically, it would be electropneumatic then. I think it could work out well though, it just would make things a bit complicated... If it is going to be electro pneumatic though, I think there should be new internals as well. Who wants cheapo internals that umm.... get like 300 shots off of a 114/5000? LOL! Im no good at designing internals though :<

There are a few dissadvantages though. Ability for upgrades goes down a bit, as well as the cost of upgrades goes up a bit. Also, for those who don't like stocks, too bad :)

Anyways, here is a horrible paint job of what it would look like.

A7

(Ignore the stuff on the bottom left. Some guy wouldn't stop calling it bullpup on another forum...)

Any tips on any flaws I have here?
What do you guys think?
I am thinking that this would work huge for milsimmers. Personally, im not a huge milsim fan, but putting a 14 inch barrel on your "smg"

its pretty cool sept for the price (ouch!!!!) they should have just made it so you could just put the a5 parts in the bullpup, instead they made a shell that the A5 goes into. think about the weight, bet its heavy...

yep but his idea is better than that. kinda weird and i think it's possible but you would have to make a bigger stock, maybe use a solid one?

it would have to be electro pneumatic, because of the lack of sear.  this would be very interesting to see.  electropneumatic a5 is a cool idea by itself...

lol the b5 Is just a body kit.

Im talking about a whole new gun.

and yes, so far electropneumatic seems the best option.
