| I just got my Tippmann expansion chamber in the mail today. And i am trying to remove the hose from the power tube so i can put in the vertical adapter. I am having issues on removing the hose any suggestions? |

| Leave your gun intact and then take a 1/2 inch wrench and crank away until you get it out. It will be tough to unscrew with the factory locktite on there but it will come out. Whatever you do, do not try to hold the powertube in your hands...it's bound to happen that your gonna crack it, like I did. If that doesn't work, and I don't see why not, you can always put it in a vice and use that to hold it. But don't crank down on it our again you'll crack it. |

I'm gonna assume you're talking about the 98c...because I don't know anything about a hose in the powertube on my A-5..

| yeah its a 98c but the problem was i striped the nut connect to the power tube. any other suggestions to get it out ? |

The correct tools would have prevented that. Since you have rounded off the shoulders of the hex area on the fitting, a good pair of Vise-Grips or a small pipe wrench are the only options you have at this point. Get a new hose. -------------

| no i striped the old hose that is still connected to the power tube i still have the hose that goes with the Kit. and i didnt know what a cresent wrench was until i googled it. i had one. and yes yes i know research before i do anything. but i got the ASA off the hose. and i have a vise grip but the non-wrench kind. |

i got it i had a vice grip just not a wrench and i had a plumbers wrench so i griped the wrench to the table and i tightened the wrench as much as i could to the hose and a lengthy 20 minute process got the hose off the power tube. any suggestions for a good installation like what to do's and what not to? thanks for the help |

Good thing I got here in time.... First off, you need real box and open end wrenches in the correct sizes, adjustable wrenches will only round off hexes and vise grips are to be used only when you screw up. You need something like this in SAE sizes: http://s7.sears.com/is/image/Sears/00947046000 Now, I think the correct wrench size for that hose is 7/16. Either way, find the correct SAE wrench for the Vertical Adapter nut (right where is screws into the powertube/valve. You should put some teflon tape on the threads and work it into the threads with your fingers. Correctly applied teflon tape should look somewhat similat to this: http://www.one-stop-paintball-shop.com/images/product /A001898.jpg Then take the powertube out and put it in a vice just enough to keep it from falling through (don't squeeze it) with the hole on the top and exposed above the highest level of the vice's grips. Carefully screw it in with your hand being careful not to cross the threads. Then switch to the wrench and tighten it down until it gets difficult and line it up properly with the front of the powertube. At this point, take it out of the vice and test fit it into the right receiver half. It should fit right in place with no problems. If you are having real trouble getting it to fit in there, then you are going to need to screw the Vertical Adapter in another full turn. It can be very hard to do, but once it is done, it will fit right in with no problems and never need to be taken out. Do it right and you won't have any problems. Do it wrong, and you may need a new valve or vertical adapter. |

| I always prefer to use teflon, when correctly applied, it is easier to work with later on. But if you just want to use the loctite, then just put a drop or two of loctite on the threads of the VA instead of the teflon tape. |
