No, no, thats not what I meant, I mean that it is to short, it screws in just fine but by the time it tightens ( like you screw in a normal barrel) the part where you put the screw in to clamp down the barrel is off to the side. ------------- Join the XP Re-Revolution!

Don't bother, it's a flatline, don't waste your time your money or brain cells over it. I've got two I'm trying to get the hell rid of and I can't becuase they are *bad* The accuracy sucks, and the range is a joke. ~Keep your eye out for filtered language. Flatline's are fine... I have yet to have accuracy problems with mine. At ranges that the JJ can go they do about the same as JJ.... If you're expecting it to be accurate after it flies over 100 yards... you're very stupid.

Meh, yay for people with 66 Mustangs who don't know how to polish or wax. Anyway, Flatlines are very good. I can't go back to regular barrels because I'm so used to the flat trajectory and distance. Agreed... range kills every other barrel out there, the apex comes close.. but dosen't beat it, and the accuracy is fine...people expect it to be very good at long ranges.. it isn't, thing about it, it's a ball, it hits wind resistance, and more resistance as it travels farther, therefore it will not be DEAD ON. Same with all other barrels atsept they can't shoot as far. Flatline = Great for supression fire.

Really? Didn't know that my opinon "didn't count" on this forum. I have a very deep hate for Tehgangster. And why insult his mustang? I hate people who show off thing's that just aren't good. Until about.. two days ago, I was never mean to the 'lil punk, but I got fed up with him geing such an *edit* to me on about every thread. again, same for mine. but after a while it goes in easier. oh not to mention if you are skilled, when you put the gun back together, you can just lay it in there and then tighten the halves together. razgriz, you are a moron. i have flatlines for both my 98c and a-5. they both perform flawlessly and proved useful at the last scenario game i attended. -------------

I don't think anyone is going to agree with Razgriz.. he must have used a five-year old flatine that was completly worn down, either that or you're just really really really stupid. I really want to know how it is a "Gimmick" though when it does what is is advertised to do..

Yes. Yes I am. It only takes a bit of tuning to get the Flatty up and running, and maybe some common sense. I've used a Flatty, and loved it, in it's own right. Well, the keystrokes on "Flatty" are easier!!!  But I really don't want to argue with HV over a name, so I'll concede and call it a "Flatline."Razgriz is another story though. Seriously, all you ever did is say how it sucks, and never said why. The reasons you did give us were user errors. The accuracy is fine, and there is a good deal of range added, IF you know what you are doing. Everyone I know who has a Flatline loves it, and after using one myself, I think it's quite a good barrel. And what user errors were those? How in the world does one use a barrel wrong? The Flatline puts an unneccesery spin on the ball and it does not work period. A paintball isn't a sphere, it's a friggen egg you don't put a spin on an egg expect it to fly straight for very long. Yes it's accurate yes it has range. But not both at once. Now I will back down from the insults, it's child-esque and I can't figure out why I got into it with everyone, but I won't support a product that I've seen four of my good friends purchase and use and throw on ebay as soon as they could. I trust those friends entirely and of them knows paintball like Einstein knew the theory of releitivity i.e he knows how to use a barrel if I don't. |

The user errors I'm assuming were simple tuning issues. Why didn't it work? What was happening with them? You can't just slap them on and shoot. You have to make sure they are vertical in relation to the gun. You have to make sure the size of the paintball fits the size of the bore, and not perfectly. You have to use smaller paint than the bore size of the Flatline. If not, then it doesn't apply proper spin. It will work, but not as good. I have used a Flatline accurately and effectively on many occasions, and many my friends do as well. | As I said, my friend owned one, and knew what he was doing, as well as I. We matched the paint, understanding the importance of matching the id of the barrel and the od of the ball blah blah blah. Here's what it comes down to, I and my friends weren't impressed with the barrel and you and others are. I put my input in and obviously it isn't being appriciated. |

Look I'm done here. I didn't say IT SUCKS, I told the guy that if he couldn't put it on anyway then he shouldn't waste any effort on trying to get it modified to fit or modify the gun at all. Yes I said it a little harshly but I already apologized for that. |
