Ok I got the idea from the other thread.
I have been pulled over twice in my 2 years of driving.
#1 Going to pick someone up from school at a 3 way stop sign. I am going the direction where I have to turn left or right. The person in front of me stops so I stop right behind them. They go so I move up to the stop sign. Dont hit the gas or anything just let off the brake and let it go. Its is now my turn to go, so I turn right. As I turn right, I see a cop coming from that direction. I didnt think I did anything wrong but I still turn on the next street because that is they way to my friends house. About 2 min and a few streets down, the cop pulls me over and wonders why I "blew" that stop sign. I get the talk about how driving isnt a right its a privledge. Get off with a warning.
#2 Yay for getting two tickets for going from the left lane, to the right
lane, and back to the left lane without a turn signal. Unsafe lane
change and failure to use turn signal. The cop must of been about
200-300 feet ahead of me driving the same direction during the night.
What was he doing watching so closely in his rear view mirror for? He
then slows down on top of the bridge he is going over and waits for me
to pass him. I have to pass him because there is no where to turn off
and he is going like 10 mph in a 55 zone. Pulls me over and gives me
the talk that he can give me reckless driving and that he should arrest
me right now. Ends up giving me those 2 tickets and said he wants to
give me speeding but he cant prove that...
Alright
sure, I was driving a little fast and passed a car by going to the
other lane and back, but it wasnt anything close to an accident or anything unsafe.

I'm assuming routine stops dont count.
1) Speeding, 110kmh in a 70kmh zone. Didnt even get a warning, which was good times.
2) Cop looking for a white van that was swerving, etc...and I was driving a blue tercel.....
3) After being 19 for an hour, I got pulled over for listening to "What Is Love?" with 2 friends in my car, as loud as possible, windows down. They pulled us over, could smell my friend had been drinking, assumed it was me, since I was the one smiling like an idiot and nodding at them when we passed them. Made me get out/ get in the back of the police truck and made me do a breathalizer, I blew a zero to his surprise and he let me go.
4) Speeding again, driving to Dawson City, Yukon for a music fest. Caught at 128 kmh in a 90kmh, I got an $86 ticket for it.

5+ times. Dead serious.
Only 2 tickets though, one for 5 over (said I was doing 15 but wrote me for 5), and one for "failing to stop in a safe distance" for my accident. Both were within 3 months of eachother... but ever since then (Feb), not a single infraction.
Other times werent because I was breaking a law )suspicious activity- driving down a dirt road at 2 AM) , or just a minor infraction (expired tags).
As for the cop watching you in his rearview mirror, thats how the cop I rode with pulled over the lady for the tags, because in Texas we have them in the front.

My insurance doesnt go up if you get a ticket or anything. The company never sees the ticket. It will only cost you more if you are applying for new insurrance with a different company or something like that. Then it will cost more.

Once, last school year, got a ticket for 45 in a 35, that used to be a 40 but they recently changed the limit, so everybody still goes 40-45 so I didn't pay any attention to what I was doing.
Tonight I had a little runin with the cops after attemting to go camping with a bunch of people. Kind of sucked badly because we had to make way through about 2 miles of solid dark, very hilly forest at 11:30 at night.

Mostly just a mix of small infractions like, going 5-10 mph over, suspicious activity, suspicion of stolen vehicle, just small stuff that they didn't get me on. No tickets, just a couple warnings.

Really? So you obviously took him to court for an unlawful stop? Police must have a legitimate reason, so regardless of what he thought of the sticker, he still had you on something. Although it may have been stupid, it would have still been a violation. Just giving you a hard time man.

2 tickets.
1. for tinted windows, they looked "too dark", he slapped this meter on
my window and said it was too dark, gave me a huge ticket (over $200
iirc), just bought the car too didn't know anything about the laws,
then fought it in court and won after removing it with amonia.
2. Illegal u-turn, let off with a warning.

Actually I was under the impression he was speeding. But after reading your post again you did not mention that. But, based on the bad sentence structure of your post, it would be easy to make that mistake. Please, read this sentence again and tell me what to get from it. "my friend got a minivan and a small japanese car with tinted windows, and drive down a highway" Also, how did your friend know the minivan was going 15 over? Did he look at his spedo, and time the minivan, or did he pace the minivan? If he paced the minivan then he would be going over the speed limit to do so and the cop would be justified. Hell, tinted windows justifies the cop pulling him over.

Once that i've stopped, I dipped twice yesterday. Where I live theres three ways you can go to get away from the cops, one is down the mountian on the interstate, one is to go up a really steep ass windy road, and three is on a 4x4 trail that takes you about 5 miles through the valley to the next town, I always choose the steep windy road because I know the road great and can fly on it.

I nearly got a ticket on the 4th of July for not having anyone in my car wearing a seatbelt on the beach. I was going like 4 mph I cant believe they enfore that law on the beach.
Then same day 2 hours later same cop gave us a hard time for having our music to loud and that it was "offending" people. Who in the hell is offended by Led Zepplin?
Otherwise I have had no trouble with police and my vehicle because I am such a great driver.

I was pulled over once while pulling a u-haul helping a friend
move. I thought the officer asked me if I had any firealarms in
the vehicle, I'm like uhh I'm not sure, there could be some in the u
haul trailer, so I had to open it up and as I started going through the
3rd or 4th box I spied it and help it up triumphantly, much to his
confusion. He apparently asked me if I had an firearms in the
vehicle; while standing there feeling dumb as a sack, he gives me this
nice pamphlet that outlined the new laws (at the time) around carrying
firearms - I thanked him, he chuckled and we parted, never to speak of
it again..till now.

In a perfect world, yes.
The police can basically get away with whatever the hell they want, including making up violations to give you a ticket for because they don't like your political bumper stickers... Who is the judge going to believe? A "respectable" police officer, or some "punk" kid?
I'm not saying all, or even a majority of police are like this, but I promise you there are some.
Back to the topic of the thread...
I've been pulled over once, but it was for a whole boatload of things at once. I believe the exact charges were:
Reckless driving, Malicious Destruction of Property (MDOP), Minor in possession of tobacco, and possession/use of marijuana.
This all occurred as a result of me and 2 friends smoking a LOT of weed while driving around (I had about $400 of paraphenelia in the car also; 3 pipes & a bong) and then deciding to smash mailboxes with a baseball bat.
A car chase ensued (not from a cop, from some guy whose mailbox we smashed). We outran the guy after about 30 minutes of hauling ass down winding backroads, but then got pulled over.
It all got reduced in court to Careless Driving and "Disorderly Conduct."

no, the cop was profiling, thats the whole point of my post......my dad had a client that won massive amounts of money in damages cuz a bunch of cops beat him up cuz he said "why the **edited** are you pulling me over?" im just saying that cops arent perfect, a lot of them profile, which s a really bad idea, cuz then you pay for it in court...

Once again the point was lost. The cop had a reason, however slim, to pull you over. Therefore, he wins because you had a violation. If he truly pulled you over simply for a bumper sticker...then you should have taken him to court and won money, or else you're just upset and hate authority because he was doing his job.

Three times.
1st was a verbal warning by a state police officer i knew. He told me if it happened again I wouldn definatly get a ticket.
2nd was 80 in a 55, although I doubt I was going that fast up hill in fourth gear. Add $35 for a misplaced registation sticker and the officer tore the stip off one of my wipers while telling me t was defective. This is what happens when you get a guy right out of the academy and plead the fith when he asks you if you knew how fast you were going, which I still think is a loaded question.
3rd time 67mph in a 50mph zone according to the radar. didn't help that I though I was in a 55mh zone.

I got pulled over a couple of times, only once ever got a ticket. I saw this thread, and had a funny story that was worth telling, but I was too lazy to type it out before. I have nothing against cops, but this story is too good to not share.
I am driving my company's pickup truck one day. I pull off of a four-lane limited access highway onto a regular two lane state road. Right off the exit ramp, it enters a little town, where the speed limit is 35. I generally go slow through the town anyway, since there are always kids on the street etc. I notice that there is a cop on a police motorcycle behind me, but do not panic, as I follow the speed limit, and am not the type of person to freak when a cop is behind me.
At the end of town, there is an elementry school, and it was mid afternoon, so the school zone light was blinking, which drops the speed limit to 15 mph. I don't know if I was daydreaming or what, but didn't even notice that the school zone light was blinking, but proceeded to drive through the zone at the regular 35 mph. About halfway through the school zone, the officer on the motorcycle turns on his flashing lights.
I'm getting pulled over. Fine/points doubled in a school zone. Local township cop, there is no way I'm getting out of a huge fine.
Right after the school, there is a hill, where a small church sits. There is a gravel parking lot where a few cars can park, and it's the first wide spot where I can pull over, so I do so.
The officer gets off his motorcycle and begins to walk toward my truck. The officer systematically removes his helmet and fits a POLICE ballcap onto his head. He is in uniform, complete with mirrored aviator sunglasses and the neutral facial expression that only cops and good poker players can master.
He walks up to my window.
"License, owner's card and proof of insurance please."
He walks back to his bike to process my information, etc.
Several minutes later, he gets off the motorcycle and again returns to the window of my truck, carrying my papers, and his citation tablet.
"The reason I pulled you over is because you failed to slow to the posted speed limit in the school zone." He was being friendly, but he still had the menacing tone of a cop who is going to throw the book at me. "You were watching your speed through town as you should have, but the school zone light was lit, telling you to decrease your speed to -OH DAMN!..."
At this point he begins to RUN down the hill. I look in the rear view mirror to see his Harley rolling down the hill, it rolls about 20 feet, the handlebars cut sharp to the left, turning the bike broadside into the middle of the road, where the bike runs out of momentum, and comes to a stop, then flops over onto it's right side.
"Can I get a hand out here?"
I jump out of the truck, and run to where the officer is standing, next to the motorcycle lying on the road. He says to me, "I'll waive your ticket if you help me get this bike up on it's wheels". The motorcycle is a huge Harley Davidson, so it takes quite a bit of grunt from both of us to get the bike righted again. The officer gives me my license back, and sends me on my way.
The good news was that he didn't do any serious damage to the motorcycle. The fall broke the end off of the brake lever on the handlebar, bent the side mirror a little bit, and maybe put a couple minor dings on the gas tank.

You were driving around stoned and destroying property. I don't think you've got much place complaining- you put other people at risk with your behaviour, which is where I draw my line on stupidity. No sympathy. You got an issue with the cops, suck it up or take it to court.

In my 7 years of driving, I have been pulled over once, just a few months ago.
I left a bar ad DD with three others in the car. When we got in the vehicle, there was a woman in front of the car puking her head off so I didn't turn my head lights on, not wanting to kill her. I got onto the road and before I got a chance to turn them on, State police drive by. I was pulled over before he even had a chance to turn around.
I was given a field sobriety test and passed, no tickets issued.

I've talked my way out of the ticket each time.
One included running a red, Infront of a cop... Speeding.
Not even a written warning for meh.

You stared at them with that look you have in your avatar didn't you? They wanted your ID and got nothing. They asked questions and you never so much as blinked. They had nothing to do but walk away.

Actually, I found it rather comical, and I did not complain to the police nor here.
If they had only thought to look in the trunk...
*Edit: And yes, I've admitted over and over that it was a night filled with stupid decisions.

I'm pretty sure I did, or possibly a few days later.
I'm still on probation for that ... 2 weeks to go!
*Edit: That happened well over a year ago.

How long have you been on probation?

I've been on probation since October 5th of 2005. Before that I was on bond conditions (basically probation, but stricter) for a month.
I'm extremely excited that I'll (hopefully) be able to get that burden off my back... and I can't wait to light up that first bongload either.
