Now that I got your attention:

I'm in the market for a new or used chrono.  Do you guys know of any good accurate ones?

EDIT: Since some people can't figure it out, I'm looking for suggestions.

Do you want me to help you or not? I answered your question, afterall.

Shooting Chrony makes good ones, but they need light to operate. They can be a PITA because you have to put the ball over both sensors, but they are accurate and cheap. I have one; mine is a Shooting Chrony F1, and it was 70 bucks.

I don't recommend the little yellow ones (accuracy problems, only 2 digit screen, same price as F1) or the white handheld ones (must hold button down to operate)

If you want more features (accurate BPS readout, number of shots fired, velocity of each one stored in memory, etc.) I recommend a PACT timer. They are only 200 bucks, which is not all that much more than the big red ones.

The little yellow hand held ones work GREAT!!!! I host private games and we've used several of these for years and we've never had a problem. They're very accurate and the batteries last a very long time.

I've never seen anyone own the woods because of what marker they use.

They are functional, but there have been quite a few cases of inaccuracy problems. Like, the yellow reporting a 5 shot string as 270, 251, 260, 275, 290 and then the red one reporting 5 more shots as 281, 283, 285, 279, 276, etc.

Plus, they have a 2 digit scren, which is annoying.

Edit- seems they are more expensive than they used to be. They are 90 now, or a refurb one is 50 from http://www.shootingchrony.com - www.shootingchrony.com . It's up to you, but I don't think safety should be risked with a potentially inaccurate chronograph.
