Today I went to Sports Authority to get my tank filled, they completly messed it up and froze the bottle completly since they didn't know how to work an On\Off Valve... (I got a free tank though) My question is.. is it possible for them to move the Anti-Siphon tube while filling the tank?  Stupid question, but I would really like to know.....thanks... I'm always paranoid about it whenever I get fills, if someone could tell me if it's possible or not... that would be great, the less paranoid I am, the better.

Dude at my local blew up my C02 with an on/off. He filled it and handed it to me, i was just about to put it into my gun and i heard it hissing quietly... I listened closely and it got steadily louder and grew some attention from the guys around me. I tried to turn it off more but it was fully closed and it was continuing to get louder and then BOOOM!!!...The valve went completely and I basically had a C02lightsabre. Except there would be no stealthy moves with it as it was screaming like a banshee and nobody could hear anybody else even if they were yelling. Everybody out playing heard it and wondered what the **edited** it was.

Anyways I got it fixed and he screwed it again (another big Boom). So I got the on/off taken out. I don't really know about anti-siphon tubes but I thought I'd share my little story with you

Heh, I think that mighta been what happended with my old PMI Pin-Valve, after getting it filled it was starting to leak and get loud real quick too... I just turned it to "OPEN" and sprayed it with my friends since I didn't want it all to "seep" out and not goto a good use . I only use true valves now (aka ones with a turn-knob, pin valves really just aren't good)

Ok... you pointed a spray of potentially liquid Co2 at your friends, assumably from very close. Im not going to begin to say how stupid that is, or list the reasons why you shouldnt do it... im sure someone else will.

Also, pin valves work fine... What do you think almost all HPA tanks. And to my understanding, even a tank with a "turn knob" uses a pin valve... all paintball tanks do...

Ok, first off, we do it quite often and it's not liquid.. it's most def gas (hince the Anti-Siphon tank) It's much worse with the "Dust-Cleaner" cans that we love to hold upside down and have wars with.. that is ALL liquid. Anyway, ignoring the fact that we like to be stupid, This is the open\close valve that I prefer, by the pin valve I meant the one that you push in, and push out to turn on and off...
With the Push valves mainly made by PMI, I have had three that have had leaks within three weeks of use, with the Smart Parts On\Off Valve.. I have had ZERO.
I think I meant to say "Push-Pin Valve" not "Pin-Valve"....I think I've gotten those two mixed up.

Right.... You were actually able to hold that thing in your hands. If that really did happen, I kinda wish it had broken free and smacked you in the face.

I don't see how it's possible for the AS to get twisted during a fill if the valve is still seated snugly.

Hybrid... Why you hatin?

After the fill... as I said, he handed it to me and put it into my gun and heard the hissin'. The valve housing etc was still on the bottle, just the closing o-ring internal **edited** blew out. So it was a slow LOUD controlled c02 stream that lasted like 2 minutes. I'm not that much of an idiot to point it at people...

But I did have fun trying to freeze some paint on the table

No BS dude. Serious.

The guy who was filling is an idiot, he blew the orings in the on/off thats built into the valve. The pressure slowly pushed out the shredded o-ring and then you have CO2 flyin out the end. Theres not much force as its slow and steady, but its basically like a bloody loud horn.

Its happened twice, I've taken the whole on/off system out and replaced it with the normal pin valve because the on/off was **edited**.
