So I'm delving into the relm of speedball more and more.  I SUCK at walking.  Well I'm not that bad but still.  What do you guys suggest to get my muscles trained to walk well besides plan old everyday use of the gun?

EDIT: Just out of curiosity, whats the average BPS a pro can acheive...walking that is.

Better gun.

Really.

Low end electros will never be as easy to shoot as their electropneumatic big brothers.

APG says the about 90% of pros can't walk over 13BPS with out Ramping or bouncing.

Go to the NPPL and tell them that. They are probably talking about the NXL and PSP players, but then again, those variations require diffrent skills.

Just play NXL and have 10 bps capped auto plus more padding on your jersey:tup:

NPPL players still have tools available to them to increase their BPS ability.   The boards just aren't as obvious so they can get by the "robot."   I actually would agree with APG since the prevalence of cheater boards and shot adding programs has increased.   The "pros" now have always played with ramping boards so skill in "walking" was never an issue.

ive heard of using guitar weights. i just turn my gun on and start practicing, i also took out the magnet from my impulse trigger (which i wouldnt suggest unless you put a spring in, its very unsafe if you dont)

i've also found that a lot of the speed comes from finding a trigger setup that works for you.  Trigger shape and pull weight are some big factors that can affect how fast you get to pull.  I found that scythe type triggers suck for me to walk, but many people swear by them.  I can't walk an impulse trigger very fast for the life of me.  it seems too heavy.  Now, give me a matrix with a cp roller, or any angel with it's breakbeam trigger system and i'll rip.

There were a couple of online ways to test your "walking Speed". This was done via the computer mouse which isnt identical to all marker triggers. I got 23+ bps but cant get that fast on my Ion (I know that Ions wont go that fast). I prefer a very light, short trigger pull. Others prefer a "Sloppy" trigger pull. Play around with it.
