Plus this 13cu in tank

Quick background...

I already have one Phantom (VSC, stock) that I use when I play woods, and it works great. I'm looking for a reliable, fairly affordable gun to use for speedball (with all the extras I want, the promaster would be about $440...close to the price of the phantom + tank). I've looked at a lot of upgraded Phantom's but this one pretty much takes the cake. I fell in love at first sight.

If I got the Promaster I would get with it a 68ci 3k tank, stickies, and a New Desighnz drop.

As I type this I'm slowly swaying towards the Phantom.

That Phantom is pretty awesome, but saying as you already have another Phantom, wouldn't you want something other than a pump?  It really just depends on what you feel since they are two completely different options...

id get the promaster because you already have a pump, or get that, trade off your other phantom for a promaster(if its worth that much, i dont know much about pumps)

Well if you already have one Phantom, then go for the Promaster or a different pump (PPS). But if really want another Phantom, then go for it.

what all are you doing to your promaster? just adding a reg, hopper, tank, and a asa? or what else is there?

-------------

ions are like mustangs...alot of people have them but not many know how to use them...

Basically when you buy a Promaster the musts are ASA, feedneck and reg, some say the barrel too.

The hopper and tank are needed for almost all electros.

just to get the gun working...with decent air consumption...the stock reg will only get you around 700-800 shots a fill...and you still would need a feed neck...just those things i linked that $365.00 without the feed neck, $390.00 with the feed neck added without shipping...which i think may be free...but add in your tank

http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=Y3Fi4wkeOHNinUwpy3-iSwPXHbmeF9BUKzk=?ProductID=zZSsFAY7_%2ewAAAD3x2elA_2t - http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/S tore/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=Y3Fi4wkeOH NinUwpy3-iSwPXHbmeF9BUKzk=?ProductID=zZSsFAY7_%2ewAAAD3x2elA _2t

and now your at $575.00...and you dont have a hopper to feed a promaster well do you?

http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=Y3Fi4wkeOHNinUwpy3-iSwPXHbmeF9BUKzk=?ProductID=Wm_AqArb1mIAAAEB6ctjr5HA - http://www.actionvillage.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/S tore/en/-/USD/DisplayProductInformation-Start;sid=Y3Fi4wkeOH NinUwpy3-iSwPXHbmeF9BUKzk=?ProductID=Wm_AqArb1mIAAAEB6ctjr5H A

the price is 103 (since they wont show it...)

so now thats $688.00 to get it going really...not adding a barrel to it which is about the last thing you would need to do.

if you go for the ion you can get either a normal ion for $200 or a ANS razor ion for $250 http://www.ans-ion.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=308 - http://www.ans-ion.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=308  which has alot better stuff on it...the stock reg is decent enough to get 1400 shots per fill or around there...and it is decently consistant...the barrel is good for being stock...the only thing you need to do is get a feed neck for it...so thats, if you get the ANS, $280, then add the hopper and tank which brings it too...$568...oh yea and a QEV so thats about $580.00

or you can go the cheeper way, but your performance will suffer from this...

200 for a nromal ion...then 45 for a anti-siphon 20oz co2 tank and then do a palmer stab http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/online-catalog/stabilizer.htm - http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/online-catalog/stabilizer.htm  for 70 or so and a QEV is another 20...so your looking more at about $450.00 or in that general area...with the hopper added into it

Take what you would put on an Ion and put it on the Promaster. I only see a $50 difference. But if minus the price of QEVs and a new trigger you basically have the same price.

Seeing as you already have a Phantom, I'd go with the ProMaster.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

first off, you dont need a new reg, they can be good if you adjust them, but other times yes, they are crap, they are hit or miss.

second, you dont need a new feedneck with a promaster, they are nice, but if you go to the promaster gallery on pbnation, not everyone has a new feedneck like the ion people do

triggers on promasters are good stock, unlike the ion

then the ion really should run on HPA, your kinda cheating saying oh ion and palmers, really all you need to get is HPA and its the same price if you buy a used tank.  Put a palmers on a promaster if you feel like it

so really, get what you want, dont worry about prices, get them used if you can and save alot of money
