game comes out today, looks sweet, its kinda like a BF 2 stand alone expansion, but still looks amazing, i wanna buy it but im saving all my money for my ego/dm6/pm6/cantmakeupmymind any one buying it? ------------- <1 meg sig = bad> |

no, i dont like BF games, their accuracy and damage system is messed up...no lie...me and my friend tested this out...the pistal is more accurate then the sniper rifles... ------------- 
ions are like mustangs...alot of people have them but not many know how to use them... |

true it's not realistic but it's fun bf2 is amazing who tried the 2142 demo? it was allright but it dint make me want to buy it, very repetitive. you'd think by 2142 they'd of created a decently accurate gun! ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

WHAT?!?!?! dude if you know how to use the sniper rifles in that game then they are just as accurate as anything else. You see other games dumb down the skill it takes to shoot with a gun. I agree the pistols are a little over accurate but if you've ever shot a real scoped rifle it isn't as easy as picking your nose. -------------  |

Now have you guys played 1942? So much sweeter than any other one. As for the rifle accuracy being the only thing right I wouldn't quite agree with that, the sub-machine guns are right, good for one or two shots a second any more and it's less accurate then throwing skittles at the guy. GOD THE M1 IS SWEET! ------------- |

Part of the problem is you can turn around far too quickly when prone in BF2. If you get a chance, try aiming a rifle, or paintball marker, or whatever accurately while moving in the prone. You can certainly aim it very accurately in a small cone angled off to the other side from your dominant shoulder, but you can't swing it around and keep a sight picture. they need to work on that.

Bleh, Battlefield 2... man, I LOVED Battlefield 1942 (The orignal) but these new ones SUCK they just ARE NOT FUN. I'll stick with 1942 thank you very much *turns head*

| I've heard a lot of complaints that is isn't different from BF2 enough. It's not really futuristic, and more of a skin of BF2 than anything else. I love BF2, but I doubt I'll buy 2142. |

I have a nice PC and everything, but the load times on BF2 were awful. And for that reason I'll probably never buy a Battle Field game until I get a 64-bit processor. And as far as sniper rifles go, you can't hit anything with them. When I played the demo, I would snipe, laying prone, and put 3 magazines into a person, and they wouldn't die. I experimented with distance drop and everything. The sniping just plain sucks. -------------

And besides the need for a 64bit processor to get decent load times, you need 2GB RAM and a good graphics card (got one) to run everything on highest settings. My graphics card was able to run everything on high, but 1 GB RAM was not enough for the size of the maps. -------------

The demo was for it was the first game I hit up on my sweet new gaming rig. I probably won't get it but it is most deffinetely the height of the BF series. The others are far too unrealistic. This one has more excuse since it's set far enough in the future. I also find that games based of real conflict desenstizes us to the very real sacrifices made by the soldiers who lived those moments. ------------- |

So I have to say that full version is actually badass. Already ripped the spyware out of it and grabbed a dummy program. So it thinks the spyware is still there. It has a ranking system, so the more you rank up, the more features you can unlock, like new guns and weapons. nade spam is still abundant.
