honestly do you think they will even release a game like this... there is no point no one would ever buy this. If sony had half a brain not a single disc of this game would ever be made. Why on earth would they think someone would spend 500-900 bucks for a game. So basically you could beat the game based on how big your wallet is not skill makes no sense on why they would even discuss this as a game

Baahaahahhaha!! Sony wasted so much damn money building the PS3, then destroying the units already built, to put NEW stuff into them, that they are running SO low on $$$ that they have to charge you INGAME... what fun. What's next? Each match in Counter-Strike you have to pay $1.50? I'll stick with my 360

Not a bad idea, just poorly executed. If they would have made it cheaper, say...a dime per car or track, or a set of cars or track for the listed price, then the customer loyalty would have backed them enough so that they buy the game and a moderate amount of tracks and cars, and sony would have made a butt load of money. Thank god they werent smart about this though. Otherwise Microsoft or Nintendo would have followed thinking it was a good idea. -------------

See, even if it was really cheap to buy new cars, I still wouldn't want to deal with that. It's just more of a pain in the ass. If I spend $60 on a game, I want everything included in it without having to go around and buy more content for it. Halo 2 tried this with downloadable content from XBL, and that actually wasn't too bad, especially when it all became free eventually anyway. -------------  irc.esper.net #paintball |

Sadly I think this is a look at the future. It's sporadic now, with small payments for extra maps or bonus content, like the horses in Oblivion, or the cars and tracks in this game. It'll get more common. -------------

Ok... there is a difference with Oblvion and Halo.. you don't NEED those downloads, you only download them if you want more content, levels, etc. This is a game that REQUIRES you to download levels and cars... you don't have a decision. If you just buy the game well.. you have no tracks, or cars, what are you going to do? Spectate? WoOO! And if you friend buys a different track....how are you going to play him on it if you don't pay for that track?

Yeah, what the hell ARE you talking about? I don't remember any game that had anything "CUT" or anything like that....Ricwhich, you constantly battle for the PS3, but you don't seem to know a damned thing any other console.

get a copy of madden 06 for xbox then for xbox 360 you will see *edit* cant even challenge plays thats a big part of the nfl from gamespot.com The Bad: Many of the unique gameplay features of the last couple of Madden games are missing; lots of missing modes--all you get is a husk of a franchise mode and online play; some unsightly animation and graphical hang-ups that stick out all the more on a next-gen console; you can't challenge plays. ------------- Tuesday starts the weekend... madden 05 was the best football game ever made, i have not liked any since that. especially that coach game... one month after it came out i saw it in the value bin for $20 cdn. and the decision to make gt like this will prove a mistake. bty what r they charging for the core game? ------------- <just say no to unnecessarily sexualized sigs> |

Ricwhic.. I hate to be down-right rude.. but what you just said, argumental wise, was the stupidest thing I have ever seen. The 360 version is exact same as the other versions. Second, That was not a launch title. Launch titles were... Condemned, Perfect Dark Zero, Quake 4, Call Of Duty 2, Kameo, and there were a couple more. The only title, out of all of those, that I hated, was Quake 4. You're not going to be able to back-up what you said... so I suggest stopping now. Nothing was ever "cut" from a 360 game. You're kidding right? 4 isn't just greater, it fish-slaps 3! The graphics are beyond anything I thought a PS2 could do, the physics have been improved, there are many more tracks and cars, the B-Spec is a Godsend for those endurance races, more rally options, there are tuner accessories, and FRICKEN MUSCLE CARS! WOO! The only thing bad about 4 is lack of online play! (and drag racing). I compared my times on the tracks to Motor Trend tests, and they were bleedin' close! That's funny, because I picked up COD2, Quake 4, and Kameo on launch day.... that launch post lists even Saints Row, which came out about 5 months later...so that list is not valid. I read what Gamespot said, but have you played both versions? Nothing is cut out or different between them besides graphics. You were saying "ZOMG I'm suprised anyone bought 360 (GAMES) because so much was cut out)... well, nothing was. And you also, in that little sentence, put all of the 360 launch titles on the table. You said GAMES, not ONE game. Either way, after you buy the game, you can play, on the game we are discussing here, you buy it.. then have to pay extra to play. You're right, it is. The way you stated that, was complety wrong, you threw all of the 360 launch titles out. And we are talking here, on the new GT, which you pay $60, then you have to pay even more for cars\levels to be able to actually PLAY. There is NO, I repeat, NO, 360 game, that requires you to pay extra money to be able to PLAY. You said there was, there wasn't. Then you said stuff was cut from Madden NFL 360.. well, there wasn't. The exact same stuff was gone on the PS2 Version and so forth.. therefore, it's not the 360, it is all systems. are you joking me READ the review... please I never said that 360 games you had to pay like this gt game is supposed to be like... altho alot of 360 games have upgrades like maps and such like that... that some you have to pay for and others you dont... but not as much as this game is supposed to be like (if this game ever happens) and no im not a sony fanboy i have a gamecube a ps2 and xbox... i just hate the 360 because microsoft could have done so much more to it to make it a WOW system... nintendo did it with the wii or so its said and for the ps3 im not sure what to think about it anymore ------------- Tuesday starts the weekend...
