My eyes are gettin alittle screwy and it takes me a while to focuse on lining up the sights on my A5. Which means i cant just pop up and shoot with any accuracy. Im wondering if there is a good rail sight or something i could get. I'v seen these red dot sights on ebay to...

i reccomend a tube type red dot, check walmart
or probably more durable, try an adco, but don't spend too much
or drop 200-500usd on a holosight, they are really good

^yeah. I bought a cheap one from WalMart for $10 and it works fine. You just have to sight in in to the distance you want.

sure, not for a lot of people but did you actually read his post?
he has a valid reason for wanting one, and it is easy on the eyes to simply look at what you are shooting at and have a red dot floating around to help you approximate the hit area.
i like one because people will duck behind cover when you start shooting, so i find first-hit kills easier w/ a sight than with spray and adjust.
but you are right, most people are happy without them.

BSA 30mm Red-Dot sight , Walmart carries them for $20.00

They mount right up on a 98's frame , I havent checked the frame of an A5 , but it should be no problem .

SL68-II , micro honed and polished .688" bore . Tuff Enuf .

youre telling me looking through a sight is easier than looking down the gun?

for some people it is because you don't concentrate on anything except what you are shooting at. as long as you hold the gun in the right place all you do is look at your target and a red dot will float around where the gun is pointing.
of course just guessing and adjusting is the easiest but i find myself making first-shot hopper or mask hits that wouldn't happen without a sight. well, for me they wouldn't cause it has become a crutch for me.

Hey!

Who needs to aim!?

Use the philosophy of "spray and pray".

But for the times when I do want to do some conservative shooting...I have a 30mm Simmons red dot.

The iron sights are also exceptionally accurate.
