The music on my computer has all gotten pretty unorganized. I am wanting to move it all into correct folders and such, but I have a problem that Itunes wouldn't know where to find the song then. I know I can go through and find each one manually, but when you open Itunes for the first time it does a full computer scan and finds all music files, I am wondering how I can do that again.

thanks

Go to the the Advanced tab and click consolidate library. That is the only thing that I can think of.

create a directory or choose which one, and as long as "keep itunes music folder organized" and "copy files to itunes music folder when adding to library" are checked, then it will all be nicely organized and in that directory.

it will all be .m4a though, but winamp plays that fine

I have it keeping my music folder organized but none of them are .m4a...

The way I keep my music library sorted, say I recieve a folder with an album in it, is to add the album to my music folder, then add the folder to my library in itunes. It puts it under the artist's name and that's it.
