I've only had my 98c for a little while and lately have been playing a lot of paintball with it. Its hard to estimate how many you shots you get per tank if you use it over a couple of games. But this time I'm pretty sure I know for a fact that I only got about 100-125 shots out of it. I've got a 12 oz CO2 tank that I just got filled up like 2 days ago and then played today. It was pretty cold out, like 50 degrees and I've heard that can affect how many shots you will get. But my question is, are the 98c's really that much of an air hog that I can only expect 100-200 shots per tank? Or is something just wrong with my tank and its leaking. I just replaced the O-Ring so I'm almost positive its not leaking when its connected but I guess its possible it is when it is off my gun. So any help would be appreciated thanks.

Seems like that is kinda low. Cold does play a large factor in using CO2, you might also want to check to see if you have an anti-siphon tank. If not, you should try to get one.

I would say that the cold was the primary culprit. When it's cold out, the co2 doesn't fully change to gas and you end up shooting liquid co2. While the Tippmann valve can handle shooting the liquid, you will only get a fraction of the shots as you would shooting gas. I'm also gonna guess that you simply have the tank attached to the ASA on the gun. This keeps the tank in a horizontal position increasing the likelihood that you are shooting liquid unless you have a anti-syphon tank. You can get anti-syphon tubes put into your tanks or you could switch to using a remote during colder play to give the co2 a better chance to expand. You could also pick up an expansion chamber, but IMHO they just don't cut it in cold weather.
