I do not like home made eye conversions for older Angels. At all.

Keep the RM.

Is that what that is? I thought it looked a bit "choppy."

Yes, and it appears in the second pic that they used glue of some kind to keep the eyes in their holes. Real conversions aren't done like that.

the angel will shoot faster and be more efficient, but in the end it's just another electro. i bet the resale values are going different directions too.

I'd stick with the RM. Talk about a unique gun. And now that you're getting it Painmakerized...

RM absolutely.  There is always time to get an Angel later (and a better one than this Angel).  RM's are serious collector items.

I dont know whats better. But unless the Angel completely pwns your RM I would keep the RM. The RM is your gun, you made it.

What is painmarkerized?

The Painmaker is an extremely rare, discontinued board. Of all my interntet forum browsing (I'm on like 6 fourms...) I've only seen 2 Painmaker boards, and I just bought one of them. They were never mass-produced, as one man made them, Andre Deyk. They are one of the best boards made for the RM, along with the Thunderboard LCD, which as I understand it, only 500 were made. I've never seen one of those...

you know, I could never get any of the RMs brought into the shop to work properly.... ever.... I'd love to get my hands on one again just to see if I couldn't fix it with enough time on my hands (which I never have.). Has yours held up through the years pretty well?

Honestly, I'd hold on to the RM, even though I hate those things (with reason, it's personal). You can pick up an old angel LED or LCD cheap now-days.

Well, I haven't had the RM for that long, honestly. It has indeed put me through some trouble, still leaks a bit (I'm about to Loc-Tite the whole dang thing...) but it's shooting great with the Painmaker board. But like I said in the other trade thread, it's too fast for the Revvy, and I'm not too eager to buy a Halo just to keep up with an RM.

ahhh, but if you save the RM, AND purchase an Angel down the road for like $200 on Ebay, well... you can justify the Halo

That whole Bell-spring thing just confused the living hell out of me man.... It was like a bunch of warped washers sitting in a stack on the back of the marker.... wierd....

True. With the aftermarket reg though, I don't have to mess with it...
