Wasn't sure were to put this but here it goes.

Dad just got his PM5 and the guy suggested using a lp tank to reduce the stress of the reg... he said hp will do but my dad wants to be sure before blowing up a solenoid... I've read a lot about the subject but it always seems to get down to a draw were hp has a highter recharge rate and lp has whatever...

Finaly, i ussualy need to wear glasses because of my myopia but they constantly fog in my mask even if i put anti fog for winshields or hockey gear! Anyone have any advice about this? it sucks when you can't see a guy 30 feet away clearly. (besides contacts...)

Thanks a lot

Frank

HP tank should be just fine.

For the glasses, not sure.

HP tank because all regs can handle the pressure.

Ya just buying a set of contacts might be your only solution. They make stuff specially for glasss that don't let them fog. You could breath on them all you want and they still wouldn't fog. I don't know what it is but maybe your eye doctor would know. By the way, you might look good in contacts.

1. Wrong. But the PM5/PM6 regs can handle HP.

2. I use http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/2213/ - http://www.pbreview.com/products/reviews/2213/  on my glasses.

Ya, I was. Aren't the Angel regs not able to be used with HP?

03 Speed and up cannot take it. Some 05 Speed and up regs can regulate the input correctly, but most can't.

the guy who sold the pm to my dad said he had an angel and it could use the hp, but something needed to be done to the gun.... didn't quit listen to it after he said it was a paint blender, the price of hte things are wayyyyy out of my league....

Thanks for the responses guys, il let my dad know, and i guess il have to try and get a set of contacts, or maybe get a new mask which would do some good... the nforcer is getting old...

Once again, thanks a lot for hte valuable help

As far as your glasses fogging up...  You can get small fans for some masks (JT).  Others will wire a small computer fan to the top of their masks and use a 9v battery to power them.  The air moment will clear any fog, either on the mask or on your glasses.  I've found most "anti-fog" spray or wipes suck.

03 Speed through A4 Fly can have a spring stack mod done to the minireg, which lets it use HP. 05 Speeds and up need aftermarket regs if the mini that came on the gun can't deal with the HP.

I've found with my glasses that I have less fogging problems since I switched to a v-force mask.

I used to wear glasses in my mask when my contacts were bothering me. If you let your lenses soak in the anti-fog solution and then let it dry naturally (do this before you go to bed or something) then the solution stays on a whole lot longer and you wind up not having any issues for a long time (several weeks usually). Of course, wiping the glasses off/cleaning them will diminish the effect.

As for regs, your PM5 will be fine running HPA from a nominal pre-set tank. Don't need to go LP as their regs are solid enough. I know someone said this before, but just reinforcing the statement.
