ok dude slow down and type so that people can read what you are writing.

the halo b is a good hopper. the empire reloader b is better. the draxxus pulse isnt out yet but i think it will pretty much take over as the new best hopper out there.

the barrel you should get depends on how much money you are willing to spend.

tell us how much you are willing if you want a more specific answer.

if your going to be shooting fast halo/empire/pulse/vlocity.
If you can't shoot that fast a revy or empire 2 would do fine.

A good barrel is the Lucky un1tek or Custom Products 1 piece classic or 2 piece with a .693 bore in a 14 or 16 inch lenght.

And a good tank for would be a 68/4500,  crossfire is a very good brand.

Go with the Halo B. As for a barrel, I would reccomend a Custom Products 1 piece.

Get an aftermarket clamping feeding feedneck, shocktech perhaps, get a unimount asa with on/off and barrels, you'll get lots of choices, I tried a stiffi and it weighs nothing, shot great - try a few if you have the option and try to keep it under 14" - 10-12" will work fine.

If you want to save like 10 bucks more for a barrel, the J&J Edge is avalible for 80 on action village, but i dont know if they have the impulse threads.

Reclusivetorrid has a J&J Cramic on his Ion, and it does extremely well.

Great price, too!

I might get some static for this, but the stock barrel on the Ion is pretty good.  If you get a good paint to barrel match, you'll do just fine.  As an example, I got my hands on a 12" SP Progressive Barrel for cheap.  Using the paint I had on hand (fresh PMI Premiums) I noticed that the balls dropped significantly more with the Progressive barrel than the stock barrel.  Even the owner of the local and only shop in my 'burg said the stock barrel is pretty good and it really isn't necessary to get a new one.  Kind of odd advice for somebody that should want me to buy a barrel from him.

You can spend big money on a hopper but even an upped Ion doesn't need that much hopper.  You won't be able to outshoot an egg if it's working properly. promise

Conversely,

E3 - Z = E2

You do realize that all Halos are belt drive. Some of them just have the optional rip drive on them to load balls if you batteries fail or if you don't want to turn the hoppe ron.

the rip drive is the black rotor thing on the bottom that allows you to load the feed tube manually

Oh how wrong you are my friend. One of my friends has the earlier version of the Halo B. The "B" stands for "belt." His used gears instead of a belt. These gears still gave good performance, but it wasn't as fast or as quite as the Halo B.

My mistake. I don't know how to explain what I was trying to say. I think perhaps I meant that rip drive halos are still belt drive halos, they just have a optional rip drive on them. So if you buy a halo with a rip drive, as long as it's not one of the early ones, it is still a belt drive halo. If that makes sense.

We all know what he meant. Halo A's are hard to come by nowadays anyway, so it's not an issue.

Personally id say go for the pulse, the halo is nice but for what your gonna pay with the v35 and rip drip, you can get your pulse and chip installed in your gun which from what i saw is a very good loader, plus, it looks pretty darn good imho and new colors are comming out

Fast, but they eat batteries. Overall operation and logic is similar to the stock board.

Predator stopped making cheetahs? Why? That is a dissapoint meant. I have a v35 board in my HALO which does fine for me, but I was hoping to upgrade to the cheetah sooner or later.

why get all of these crazy upgrades.  The gun won't warrant the need.

Just get a stock Halo B. It will be fast enough for your Ion, and it looks good. Sure, you may not need the extra speed, but why not have the added security.
