Well, for my Christmas I'm getting a PSP, what games should I get and how many songs can a 1Gb memory stick hold?
-And for no good reason. My hometown highschool (Clifton High Mustangs) just one the championship, 26-0. Woot.

I'm sorry...My parents can't afford an Uber computer or Xbox360 for Christmas. Plus I need something portable for wrestling tournaments.
Still...which games.

Well as I was searching for the games you suggested, I saw a Brothers in Arms D-Day and Scarface for PSP. How are those, I know I enjoyed Scarface for PS2 over my friend's house.
And right now I think that I'll get Socom out of those choices. I'm really into shooting games, not so much adventure or fighting.
For online play, will I need to buy anything and subscribe to anything?

Nintendo DS.
If you do get a PSP, make sure you get the good carrying case for it:

DS Lite ftw. The DS is beating the PS3 and PSP combined in japan.

My little bro is already getting DS. And I was never bought any other portable Nintendo system past Gameboy Color. Nintendo has never wowed me game wise.

The psp isnt great but i think its better than the ds, the ds really doesnt have any good games. I'd get money and wait cause there's bound to be a new protable games system coming out soon.Ignore the flaming upon the psp most people dont like it because its a sony product i dont like it cause the way you have to hold it, but its deffinentley the best portable out there and alternative from buying a comp. or xbox360.

I can't wait...my mom is buying now. So it's PSP. I don't really see anything new coming anyway. It would have been advertised or discussed here by now (with Choppie on Digg 23/7).

Yahh i am, i've owned a ds then lost it but didnt care cause it sucked imo. I'm hoping that nintendo will totally make a new portable instead of upgrading the ds again that was disappointing when they made the lite instead of making a psp killer as the psp killed the ds. Come on nintendo get revenge.

Are you kidding, or just uneducated?
The PSP was a failure, it has been officially deemed a flop by those who develop for it. The DS itself is outselling the PS3 and the PSP COMBINED. Do some research, the PSP didnt hurt the DS at all, the DS crushed it.

I really don't care about sales. I just want a nice portable system that I can watch movies, play games, and listen to music on. I like shooting games mainly FPS, but 3rd person doesn't bother me. Its that stupid kind like Kilzone Liberation that I hate.
So which games. How are Scarface and Band of Brothers:D-Day?

How bad is it? Like, how do you look and move then.
Edit: If you guys want to suggest anything..since I kind of need to know what I want fast...I need something that includes either gaming or music (stereo or mp3 with vids) for Christmas. It has to be under $300. No Nintendo.

When I can Surf the Web, watch Movies, Hold pictures, Videos and MP3's on the Ds then I'll get one.
I like my PSP I have the new 2 gig Memory sticks from Walmart for just under 80 bucks. Now my PSP has replaced my older MP3 player and most of the electronic devices i carry.
While there are few games that I like for the PSP, Mostly what I play now is Ace Combat X, Both Socoms, KillZone Liberation. I am looking forward for Rainbow Six Vegas, Final Fantasy Crisis Core and a few others. While the DS might be crushing the PSP in sales. It really lacks a lot of things I need such as web browser. (this post being made in the PSP) Photos, MP3's Videos and Movies.
For being a jack of all trades the PSP wins. As a gaming system it's inferior to the DS.

I don't care for a DS, and since he will be getting one, I really won't feel the need to have one since I can share his. I'm an X-Box person, with driving games and shooters, DS doesn't seem to have much of that.
Edit: Does anyone have experience with shooters on PSP and do I need extras and subscription for online play, since this is mainly what I wanted to know.

No playing Socom Online is always free. Paying to play online is just a way for microsorf to rip off it's players. Buy the PSP head set it retails for 20 dollars and it will make co-ordinating online easier.

No.
http://www.gameboy-advance.net/nintendo_ds/nds-m3adapter.htm - Watch movies on the DS
http://www.opera.com/products/devices/nintendo/ - Surf the internet on the DS
http://forevergeek.com/gadgets/max_media_player_for_ds.php - Store pics on the DS (or movies, or music)
So with that covered, when are you buying one?

Expensive, and I'm not. I've listed my reasons. I hate Sony and have nothing against Nintendo, but the PSP seems to fullfill my needs.

Socom seems top right now because of online play.

| No, no, the PSP bombed saleswise everywhere, whereas the DS/DS lite has been consistantly outselling everything else, handheld or not.

I'll buy the Ds when all of those Add on Gadgets come standard with it. I really dont like the idea to having to carry a Utility belt full of DS items for when I want to switch from games to MP3's ect ect... and the Opera browser isnt even yet avalible in the US.
Thou I must admit now its starting to look like something youd want to look into as a mobile entertainment unit. Thou the 3 inch screens are still a turn off for videos.
I saw the videos for Final Fantasy 3 and it's good to see games that arent GBA pixel games. Thou that 3d looks shakier than the Original 3d that was used in the Old School Starfox.
Wish the DS had the N64 type of power then I'd would be all for it. Specially since now the PSP games are beguining to look good just took the DS kneecapping them for them to tweak games such as SOCOM 2, Killzone Liberation and the new Final Fantasy that looks amazing. Thou my next gaming purchase will be a Wii.
