Ok I am now going to be working on my third ratchet next weekend. I already broke two within the last 5 times I have played. Man I can't believe that tippmann doesn't just make the thing metal. I am really thinking about looking into the vortex mod....just to keep the hopper up and running. With a $30 price tag I think thats alittle much to ask. This is getting to be a real pain in the A$$ though.

okay, well what do you want from us. This sounds like you are taking to yourself on your computer!?
If you want an opinion I say stop being so cheap and get the Vortex mod and even the lightening mod to go along with it.

Thanks for the info man...your a really nice guy. I just wanted to see what people felt about it and if it was worth the money. Obviously you have tons of cash so stop being so cheap and send me a vortex. Thanks for being such a great online friend.

Maybe you should take a weekend off of playing paintball, and spend the money you would be saving on fixing your marker.

Hey man, I understand the pain and personal anguish you may be feeling
as a result from the lack of product quality you have recieved.
Anyway, I don't know if you have already, but you could try calling
Tippmann and telling them the problem. They may send you a free
replacement ratchet or they may even be able to further address the
problem to another part that could be source of the problem. I'm not
sure if it might be another part that is damaged or manufactured faulty
that is a "hidden" source of the ratchet pre-maturely breaking down.
Anyway, I bought the Vortex simply because I did not want this problem
to happen to me. I did not neccessarily need it. I had been operating
my Cyclone for about a year without any problems or visible wear;
however, sometimes I get paranoid!
It's a quality made part and I've had no regrets for buying it. It's
worked flawlessly for about 3 months now. If you got the money to blow,
get it. If not, call Tippmann and explain it to them, I'm sure they'll
take care of you.
