While I apprecciated the
Beatles reference, you should consider taking a page out of
http://youtube.com/watch?v=f-x9uoaayDY - Stella's book and
use America for your next beating scene. It would have been especially apt
for this short.

My grade 11 Social Studies teacher ALWAYS stood like that. He had our desks in a U shape, with a table thing like that at the open end of the U, facing us...and he'd always have his leg up like that, that high.
*EDIT*
That video really, really, really reminds me of some projects I've done. I really doubt I can get the footage, it's on VHS at my friends house, but I'll try.
We re-enacted Enders Game, The Battle Of The Plains Of Abraham, and more... My friend and I did a "drag racing" video (guys in drag, having a running race)
The battle of the plains of abraham was a gong show though, we had a 5 minute battle scene, reenacting a battle royal of the french versus the english....with 4 people. Essentially, when someone got killed, as soon as the camera was off them, they'd stand up again and continue to tool around.
I got hit in the face by a plastic gun by the end of that, I was running behind someone, and threw the gun into their feet to trip them, which worked...but their heel kicked the gun straight back at me even faster, hitting me square in the face, dropping me too.

Thanks. I used Final Cut Pro, but it's for mac. Adobe Premiere is as close as you can get to it for pc, though.
Edit: It was my friend's dog.

protip, get some ambient noise, and throw it in under the black screens, where theres titles, so you get a feeling of continuity from scene to scene. You'll notice it in other movies, that theres never dead silence (unless thats the point of the scene)
