Was big into woodsball back in 92. Just got the goahead from the wife to "passivley" play again HAHA...

I really wanted to give an A5 a go, but I saw a picture from the rear on EBAY and I got worried that I wouldnt be able to see S$#@ around that widearse hopper...

anyone here have opinions on weather I should try A5 or just go with a 98c?

no there is no problem seeing around the hopper. it is a big target though so you may want to buy a richochet for like $10

I'd go with the A5. The hopper wont be in your way at all.

Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good.

are you left handed

also if you are truly that worried about it you can pick up a 98 custom pro
and then get it centerfed then you would have no problems to think of

The real question is how you aim, and with which eye.  I am left-handed and right-eyed, and I have a hard time shooting the A-5 left-handed, because the hopper is right in my preferred line of vision.  I end up leaning way out to see with my right eye.

If you are left-handed and left-eyed, I would think the A-5 would be great.  You will be able to see around the hopper, AND the hopper will be offset "inwards", thereby not being a target.  Super-small profile.

^werd. i'm naturally right handed, right eyed, but i've re-taught myself to play left handed, left-eyed. both in speedball and woodsball, it's great because the biggest target of the gun(the hopper) can be kept behind a tree/bunker and i'm able to aim and shoot.

Ill aggree with them on the left eye thing. Even if you get a 98c I would suggest a cyclone. And btw, look for a slightly older Tippmann. The real Tippmanns, the ones that were made in the USA.
