Wrong!!!! Most state alcohol consumption laws state the a person under the age of 21 cannot neither purchase, recieve, nor publicly consume alcohol. However, there are no state laws against brewing beer or fermenting wine or hard cider. Also, many state laws have a loophole in the distilling laws that allow you to distill spirits. You manufactured such substances and thus, the powers that be cannot keep your from drinking any alcoholic beverage produced by you whilst in the privacy of your own home. It is, however, illegal to distribute to persons under the age of 21, so you can brew all you want, drink it in your own home, but you can't give it away to anyone under 21, can't sell it period, and can't take it with you out of your house. I home brewed all throughout college in NY, even had the cops called on me once, they couldn't touch me ------------- <Removed overly wide sig. Tsk, you know better.> |
