im getting a  full tilt ceramic for christmas but what length  should i get. i read reviews and alot of people were using the 16" but  i know alot of people  say that  a 16" barrel is just a waste.  i read about gas use on this forum and a post said that tippmann's use a set amount of gas  so increasing the velocity doesnt actually increase the air usage. i also read that there is much less friction in the ceramic barrels. so does this mean that the reasons most people dont like 16" barrels doesnt really apply?
i dont know if it matters but im also getting a cmpressed air setup for christmas.

I wouldnt go more than 14". That's a good length because you're able t orun and not hit it on the ground and it also allows you to work around bunkers.

You're not gaining anything with a 16" barrel.

I have a 8" 10" 16" and a 20" and the all shoot in the same place and the same distance...but the longer barrels are more silent.

(Just a note I barely ever use the 20" barrel cause it's to hard to swing around trees figure i'd just say that because I know alot of people will say thats way to long 16 is really all you should go i'd think)

20s are quieter (sometimes) because they have more porting. More porting means less air behind the ball, which means lower velocity, which means you need to turn the air up, which can mean you use more air, and at the same time your noise level goes up.

I would not go longer than a 14" barrel.
