well if you have the money i would definately get the barrel kit do to the fact
that you can adjust them for different paint sizes. also up until awhile ago
two piece barrel kits were consedered more accurate but now this is no
longer true but once again go with the barrel kit

If you have the money a barrel kit is the best option.

With a barrel kit you can adjust the bore size to fit the paint exactly. A couple of advantages this gives you is that your marker will be slightly more efficient, gentler on the paint, and more accurate. If the ball is smaller than the bore, then the ball will rattle around and bang back and forth while working its way out of the barrel. This can cause some more barrel breaks. Also more air will be wasted if there is not a good seal by the ball in the barrel.

If the ball is too big then you will mostl likely have some more barrel breaks and more air will be used to force the ball out of the marker.

With a barrel kit you can find that happy medium that paintballs like. You can use a standard barrel but a kit is a much better option.

Simma covered it all. Kits are nice because they allow you to match a fields paint that you may not know the bore size of. Though they tend to be pricey, they are definately worth it if you have to money to spend on one.
