That's hardly thread-worthy.

If Republicans would have won house, and Oldsoldier would have done this, he would have tooken flames from everyone.
That is all.

That's because a good bit of people on the forum lean towards the democrat party.

No argument here.

They all suck ... really, what is the real difference in the real scheme of
things?
A REAL third party is LOOOONG overdue ...
It should be about right and wrong, not right and left ...

Yeah, we do need a break in the two party system.

I say give them a chance. It usually takes at least three or four terms of party rule for them to get really mucked up. Maybe they'll do some good for a while.
I also really hope that the First 100 Hours Plan goes through and that most of it actually gets signed. Doubtful, but I can hope.

My thoughts exactly. Two conglomerates of idiots bickering with each other instead of getting anything done.

Nothing's going to be passed. Both Senate and the House are practically split fifty-fifty. No way are the going to get enough votes to pass any bill.

This year I ended up voting for a lot of Independents just because i was soo sick of tired of the incompetent Republicans and Democrats we have in Massachusetts. Wich was good because I was so sick and tired of them that I actually did a lot of homework on all the candidates. Thou with the nasty smear ads on TV gave me something to do.

The reason that most here lean left is that they grew up drinking the liberal democratic political kool-aid adds and position of they(the republicans) are wrong, we do not have an idea of our own, but we know Bush and the Republicans are wrong. And since the majority of youth here have no comparison reference expierience(JFK,Johnson,Nixon,Ford,Carter,Reagan,Bush 41, Clinton), they take all they hear as truth through thier personal bias.
Other than the name tags, believe me the same type of idiots are in charge, and just watch and learn.

It's kind of sad really, because I'll have to vote Green Party in '08 just to keep the Dems from absolute power. A little balance is always good. I'd even vote for a conservative Republican if one existed.

The democrats will lose the Senate next chance they get anyway.

Not because we believe in what democrats stand for or anything... That's a pretty asinine statement. I grew up in a very conservative family, and listened to all the BS and rhetoric for years, and now I lean way farther to the left than any of them. But you're right, I can't think for myself or anything. If I could, I'd still be conservative, right?

There are quite a few people like that. Basically, anyone who gets their political bias from MTV. I don't know how many people on the forum are like that, though.

Benjichang...Read the "talking points" from the breathern here. No real thought nor imagination on issues or answers, just repeat the following, "Bush is a Liar", "Bush is Wrong", etc....now look at the congressional record on how many on the left recited the same information with no hue and cry on thier integrity.
Read up on JFK, and Johnson's "Great Society", and then look at todays economy...notice the simularities...then read up on Carters economic ruin, and how Reagan had to fix a total fiasco, another simularityy in history of a ballon economy failure with a republican taking the balme and heat after the seeds from the previous administration came to fruit.
Politics is nothing but satisfying the 48% in your camp and agrivating the 48% in the other camp, with the 4% in the middle not giving a ....SO now the Dems take the heat, and if by chance they win the presidency in 08, do we here the same retoric about single party power and the problems therein from those who shouted the loudest till they became the power?

I have to agree with OS completely on this one, not neccessarily that everyone on this forum is a blind follower of mass media politics, and assuming it wasn't sarcasm (sorry, I have a terrible sarcasm detector), Cedric hit it completely.
I never talk politics with my friends I went to school with. However, I was talking to an adult who was following the elections a few years back, and he made the comment that he was fairly left wing in his views, and hated Bush. Before he could go any further, a friend of mine goes, "Good for you, dude. Seriously, Bush sucks." I asked my friend why Bush sucked, he goes, "Because of his illegal wars and stuff." I then asked why the war was illegal, he just shrugged and told me he didn't really get into politics.
That's my case and point of mass media politics-the scary part is that these are our future voters. I don't really get into politics alot, except for here at the forum where I can vent and debate, but I consider myself fairly well informed for someone my age-which is sad. I have great respect for people like Clark and Ryan, because even though I disagree with their politics almost completely on most issues, they don't get their political opinions from Comedy Central, they have moral convictions behind their politics. That's something I see sadly lacking from alot of people.

Stole the words from my mouth. Hell OS, I used to be one of your little clones, until I got more interested and informed and started to actually think about things....

I'm convinced that you don't really read a post past the point that shows it to be "liberal"....Which, for you, is usually the screen name...You are the closed minded sheep who laps up the propaganda like it's honey...Not us "liberals"...or at least most of us.
