hey, i was wondering... wen you fill a hpa paintball tank, does it get heavier???

Barely at all. Mainly because it is air and not liquid.

They should fill it with hot air so it is weightless like a hot air ballon.  Considering hot air is lighter than cool air it would make whole gun lighter or even weightless.

Ka boum.

Bad idea, air expands when heated causing the pressure in the tank to increase. This means if you fill a tank to 4500 psi with hot air, when the tank cools to room temp the pressure would now be less then 4500 psi. Less pressure = less shots. Plus the air becomes pretty warm anyways when filling tanks, have you ever felt a tank right after it gets filled? It gets pretty warm.

Good response, you just proved that I am dumb (or that I was just joking).  Anyway, that would mean then there is only 1 solution. 

Attach a heater to the tank so it stays warm!
