So my friend and I went to best buy today, we just kinda started walking around and we went over to the Xbox 360 display and we started playing Madden 07, and out of the corner of my eye I spotted a lonely PS3 60GB on the shelf. So I had to buy it and man o man I love this thing. I have a 360 also but the PS3 is far better then the 360.

I only bought Madden 07 it has pretty good game play graphics are amazing, and the hits are 1,000 times better then the 360 madden... The only boxing game out for PS3 is Fight Night didn't here much about it yet. And no, I have a full-time job and I pay for everything.... Fight Night must be it then because one of my friends got a ps3 I haven't personaly played it but everyone who has played fight night and says it sucks really bad in the game play area. -------------

I've been interested in the PS3 strictly for the cell processor, however from what I've been told the GPU is Nvidia Geforce 7 architecture, I suspect there must be massive bottlenecks unless the CPU was designed to share some of the graphics load. wow Choop... I really thought you might of likes the PS3.... Hmm.. odd.. Me personally. The PS3 could go for $800 and it would still be a Hell of a Deal... I mean for Starts the friggin thing Has a blue-ray disc player... So off the Start Wii/XBox 360 < PS3. Also, have any of you have even played Resistance or Motor Storm yet? NO.... I highly doubt it...or you would withdraw your Statements... Yea, a few games do suck, (fight Night, Tiger woods golf) but those are sporting games, you can just grab your old PS2/PS1 games and have just as much fun.... I've seen the new Killzone and Holy mother <KRL> it is going to be a little to much... All in all, I don't Think an Xbox even has a prayer of a chance against a PS3. -------------

I enjoy both the 360 and the PS3. Wii will be coming soon I'm sure. I already have Twilight Princess sitting around. My wife likes to collect video games and systems.
I like being able to play all the PS games with virtual memory cards for everything. I like the feel of the PS3 controller too. Free on-line gaming is a big plus, and I can use any bluetooth earpiece for a mic. The system has yet to really show its potential, but it looks promising. I didn't intend to get one, but it kind of fell to me, and I gave it a chance. Resistance is a great game, lots of fun. Madden is pretty nice, but I'm not into sports games that often. The Untold Legends game is a good co-op for the wife and I. I hear that soon they'll catch up with the gaming world and have Oblivion, but I love the way it played on the 360 and wouldn't get the PS3 version without some big extra content. -------------

Ya I almost got Resistance but I really like sports games so I like starting off with a good football game. I will be getting Resistance soon and I just checked out www.gamespot.com and they gave fight night a 8.2 which is the second best ps3 game they have done. And Oblivion on 360 is crap compared to PC version, well I guess its not much different just controls

everyone thought the 360 sucked when it first came out...and now look at it i think all the systems are sweet...to each his own...like said before the ps3 hasnt shown its potential yet but it sure is promising the wii is really cool and innovative but id rather much prefer playing games like madden, gears of war, dead rising on the 360 rather than a wii version...hell...i liked playing zelda better on gamecube than the wii thing -------------

One of the most advertised parts of the PS3 is its cell processor, containing something like the equivalent of 6 3.2 GHz cores (insert dead horse beating here). The processor will be pretty intense in power, however its using graphics architecture from the Geforce 7 series of Nvidia cards. The Geforce 7s are not terrible, before the November release of the 8800 cards they were the best from Nvidia, however compared to the cell processor its not very strong. This might not seem to be a problem but it becomes one. In an ideal system, all the components are just about equal in power. The video card, memory and processor all work with data at near equal rates, so everything flows smoothly. Picture a water pipe, the pipe is uniform in width with an equal input and output rate. Now, with the PS3, you have a very powerful CPU feeding lots of data, but you have a much smaller amount of RAM and a much weaker (comparatively) GPU. So you have a pipe with a small mouth but a very wide body, hence the term "bottleneck". Hope that clears up things. the way i see it is, xbox games are slightly better then then ps3 games, but the xbox games are near a year old, while the ps3 game are release, so using my physcic abilities, by next year ps3 should be better then the 360. then just my guess. Personally i still cant decide which one i want. But since i cant afford either, im not going to worry about it. ------------- <1 meg sig = bad> |
