I can set the velocity at 280,oil the gun (A5), and play for awile, check the velocity again and it drops to 220 or lower and I cannot get it to come back up again. Any ideas? also this usually a fresh, full air. I use both compresed and C02. The tank are a 20 oz. C02 and a 45-88 pure energy.

Tank pressure. How many shots are you firing before checking again, and what type of air system are you using? Size and pressure (pressure if it's a HPA tank) are necessary.
