I've always had an innate interest in virtuosic music. I can never explain why, I suppose it ties into the whole "watch a master at work" line of thought.

For the longest time, I've wanted to hump Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, and Stanley Jordan in the ear, simultaneously.

But today I have lost that obsession.

I have known of Tommy Emmanuel for a little while now, but I rediscovered why I wish he'd actually come to St. Louis and play for once:

He was the player Chet Atkins aspired to become, but never did (I don't mean this in the literal, mentor, sense, but in a figurative mode.)

But, The shining jewel of acoustic, has to be Andy Mckee (at least, as far as guys i know). Never have I seen someone with so much imagination that is held by so few boundaries:

A cover of the crappy 80's song "africa" (by Toto) finally made good:

I'm not going to even bother posting all of his songs, hit up you tube.

Don't get me started on Victor Wooten...

This is literally so stupid, you have to watch it (My buddy calls this one "squirrel music" and a "disgrace"):

I think my mind just exploded.

Honestly, if only one of these guys would adopt me.

I know it's a lot, but I posted it for thos who are interested. If you do not have a serious comment, Don't even bother posting; I'm already dumb enough as it is, I don't need your inane comments clogging up my intellect any more than it already is.

I LOVE the tone of that 6 string bass on "A Chick From Corea"

It's reminiscent of the tonal qualities of Geroge Benson's Ibanez semi hollow bodies...

the whole song wreaks of George Benson/Earl Klugh/Marcus Miller that it almost disgusts me in a way... that moustache... ugh..

wow, that Fretless Bass in the hands of that guy(Steve Bailey) just sounded... Amazing. I've seen some Fretless Jazz bass's sound just awful... but wow, that guy has some talent I don't even think I could comprehend.
