Right, Top to Bottom: X-7 with J&J ceramic barrel, 68 Carbine, our "frankenstein" M98, horizontal wooden foregrip, top cocking. And the bottom is the SL-68II. Soon to come, a nice blue '02 cocker from one of the older forumers.
...I'll make the pic smaller later, I have to go back to work.

With the exception of the C-3 and the X-7, every one of them was used before we got them. Cleaning rust off the screw heads is a pain, that and they've been sitting on the shelf for a few months, so they're a tad dusty. I'm waiting for a crippling snow storm so I can sit down and clean them all up, as well as give my real firearms a going over. I got my A-5 from ultimatetrooper, and the 68 carbine from Hounddog, who I don't see around anymore.....The cocker I'm getting is coming from Nickman98 (I think thats his forum handle) and the 98 that we hacked up came from a guy we know at home, who beat the living daylights out of it before we got it. Its actually a 3rd generation hand-me down. The SL came from ebay, and my brothers A-5 may actually have been new....I don't remember exactly. In all honesty, the only marker I've ever bought new was my 98c which I traded for the 68 carbine, which is a GREAT little marker. lightweight, simple to operate and repair.......Its actually my primary over the A-5. The x-7 is a great marker, that I'm looking forward to using on a regular basis. C-3 isn't bad either, I haven't had much chance to use it other than to put it through one hell of a field test..... |

Eh, I'm not too sure what it is. I had a friend do it whose done some auto painting. Its not a really great job, and he botched up a bit in spots.....we dubbed it a "5 foot job" cause from 5 feet away it looks alright. I'll have it repainted eventually. Right now its a back up marker so I'm not too broken up about it. |

how are is the sl68s pump handle, is it sturdy? i bought one off ebay for pretty cheap and its in the mail

The SL-68 pump handle are very sturdy. Mine is very comfortable and is in perfect condition still. Nice collection of guns you have there. ------------- Pumpker'd; (V.) When a pump player runs up and shoots you at point blank range because you thought 20bps made you good. |

Ummm...did you actually read what Reb posted? 3rd down, right side. It may be hacked up, but it's a 98.
Interesting collection. Not exactly what I would have picked up, but interesting. How's the C3? It seemed like an interesting gun when it came out, I've never fired one though. |

Tae, again I'm not sure exactly what he used to get the original finish off...I'll have to ask him. Yeah, they all work retty well for a collection of used markers. That 98 is REALLY the worse for wear, but to be honest, most of them get used pretty regurlarly with I loan them to people. Except for the two new markers, all of them have taken beatings at the hands of new players and old hands alike. |

A dremmel with a polishing wheel and heavy-duty rubbing compound for automobiles will rough up the body enough that anything will stick without compromising the integrity of the marker. Air-brush the paint on (or use a spray can if you're good with one) and the hit it with clear coat to shine it and seal the paint-job. ------------- <Removed overly wide sig. Tsk, you know better.> |
