Just bought it. Sorry for the copy/paste deal, but I'm on my gf's
mac and it doesn't like this forum for coding.

edited to allow this Noob's pic show.

Nice, doing it old school. How well does it shoot?

I don't know how it shoots yet, I literally just bought it. It'll be here in a
few days. Apparently it needs a replacement valve screw, pin-seal, and
end cap. Nelson Paint Company has already agreed to sell me whatever I
need at a deep deep discount since they don't manufacture any of the
parts anymore. I should get my parts list (with prices) at the same time I
get my Nelspot. I'm currently in the process of debating whether to blue it
(after stripping the rust off) or re-paint it with enamel in gloss black with
a clear coat.

The barrel definately needs honed, the slider's gonna need polished as
well (I may just wind up fabing one out of aluminum with delrin contact
points). I think I'm going to be restoring it to bolt-action rather than
keeping it pump for the time being. I want to go play with it that way just
for the satisfaction of shooting some ion-toting kids with it.

That said, I'd just like to say that the boys and girls over at Nelson Paint
are some of the nicest I've ever dealt with on the phone!

It was until someone made a pump handle for it.

See the bolt-action on the powertube/bolt? See the notches in the side of the receiver for the bolt action? Yes, Nelspots ARE bolt-action in their most stock form. However, you don't actually have to lock the bolt in place to fire, hence, Nelson came out with pump attachments for their markers and even started producing the 007-Challenger which had a longer barrel and a pump handle built right in when you bought it. Nobody used the bolt-action after the earliest games when someone figured out you could make a pump for it.....

I'm sorry my dad used the nelspot when he played paintball and always talks about the bolt action on it. So I figured they were all bolt action.
