Alcoholism Signs Self-Test:
1. In the last month, have you taken a drink first thing in the morning to help recover from a hangover (hair of the dog that bit you)?
2. In the last year, have you had a drink while driving or have you driven while under the influence of alcohol, even just a couple drinks?
3. In the last 3 months, have you continued drinking until you passed out?
4. Are more than 50% of your friends drinkers?
5. Do you consume more than 7 alcoholic beverages a week?
6. In the last 3 months, have you taken alcohol to work to drink during your workday or chosen a lunch restaurant because it serves alcohol?
7. Do you hide your drinking from any friends or family?
8. Have you failed to keep a promise to yourself or a loved one that you would quit drinking?
9. Have you ever had trouble remembering what happened while you were drinking?
10. In the last year, have you done anything while drinking that you regret doing?
11. Do you find it difficult to stop after one or two drinks?
12. In the last year, have you wet the bed or wet your pants during or after drinking?
13. Have you ever woken up after drinking in a strange place, or at home, but you don't remember how you got there?

Scoring The Alcoholism Signs Self Test:
A. If you answered 'Yes' to any of the above questions, you should investigate further by visiting Alcoholism Help and monitoring yourself for these things over the next 3 months.
B. If you answered 'yes' to 3 or more of the above questions, you may be an alcoholic. You can determine for sure by doing 'A' above, having a trusted, non-drinking friend take you to an AA meeting, and quit drinking for a month. Also, ask close friends and family members if they feel your drinking may be a problem for them. If you're unwilling or unable to do these things, you are an alcoholic.
C. If you answered 'yes' to 5 or more of the questions, you are probably an alcoholic and may have significant physical damage from your alcohol addiction. In addition, this is probably causing relationship issues in your family. Do 'A' & 'B' above and get a complete physical including a liver panel as soon as possible. Also, ask your close family members to help keep you accountable for treatment and recovery.
D. If you're taking this test to see if a loved one has a problem and you determine they would say 'yes' to any of the above questions, visit Alcoholism Help to learn more about their problem and visit an alanon meeting to see how best to help them. Also, visit our page Codependency Test-Definition to see if you are developing a problem based on their problem. This is important because family members often unintentionally do things that help their loved one continue drinking. You can actually become addicted to an addicted family member.
So I Answered "yes" to 11 of those questions... Im a little worried, but not enough to stop drinking...

4, and I almost never drink. I did drink at work though, before I quit, but that's because I would get free beer from my manager who would also drink. I miss my job :(

3. I'm Polish and German, pre-programmed to drink at least a little. Plus, there were my Army days as a Cavalry Scout, where drinking was one of the meals of the day. I have five kids ranging from 14 down to 2, and believe I'm entitled to unwind a touch once in a while. And, no part of me specifically craves or needs booze at any time.
Tests like this don't really tell you much of anything, other than "come check out our website and/or facility". They're also a good way to make someone feel bad (if they're so inclined) about ANY drinking they might do.
Original source of test?

I'm actually never drinking a single alchohalic beverage becuase alcoholisim runs so rampant through both sides of my family. It's killed several people, ruined the lives of so many others that I've choosen to not even mess with the stuff. And I tend to take things to the most extreme level any way, smoking for example I started off smoking a cigar once or twice a year when I was sixteen and now that I'm 19 I smoke a cigar once a week and a pipe almost every other day, so for me it's a control issue and I don't want that to happen with drinking.

Numbers 2,4,6, and 10 the only ones I said "yes" to.
I drink at work all the time when it's really cold because 1-2 shots of whiskey out of my flask just makes you feel nice and toasty.

Alcoholism Signs Self-Test:
1. In the last month, have you taken a drink first thing in the morning to help recover from a hangover (hair of the dog that bit you)?
-Several times
2. In the last year, have you had a drink while driving or have you driven while under the influence of alcohol, even just a couple drinks?
-How else am I supposed to get home from a mug up?
3. In the last 3 months, have you continued drinking until you passed out?
-Friday actually. 2 bottles of Cordon Negro cheap champale.
4. Are more than 50% of your friends drinkers?
-more like 100%
5. Do you consume more than 7 alcoholic beverages a week?
-Yup
6. In the last 3 months, have you taken alcohol to work to drink during your workday or chosen a lunch restaurant because it serves alcohol?
-We have several beer calls a month and the mess serves beer and spirits....liquid lunch!
7. Do you hide your drinking from any friends or family?
-Does the wife count?
8. Have you failed to keep a promise to yourself or a loved one that you would quit drinking?
-I promise myself every time
9. Have you ever had trouble remembering what happened while you were drinking?
-Yes, and we should keep it that way lest i become ashamed of myself.
10. In the last year, have you done anything while drinking that you regret doing?
-That's how i got this scar...
11. Do you find it difficult to stop after one or two drinks?
-Nope, they go down way smoothe by then.
12. In the last year, have you wet the bed or wet your pants during or after drinking?
-Nope.....that's just retarded.
13. Have you ever woken up after drinking in a strange place, or at home, but you don't remember how you got there?
-The floor of the laundromat...woohoo
So as you can see, being a featherweight army drinker makes you a civvie alcoholic.
