what can cause this ??? full HPA and the marker fires full auto for a short burst..

Maybe it wasn't put in right or it is defective. 

You could open the marker up, take a pic and post it here.

Sounds like your Air Line is loose. Disassemble your X-7 and carefully make sure that you hand tigthen the airline to the tomb stone. Carefull with that funky metal washer not falling out and loosing it. After you tigthen the airline remove the barrel and drop a few drops of Paintball Oil into the Asa and fire off a few shots. Let me know if this doesnt work. What S/N is your X-7?

Sounds like you might have one of the out-of-tolerance rear bolts. Give Tippmann a call, some X7's shipped with a sloppy rear bolt.

The rear bolte was cracked and causaed the same full auto type of problem for me
