Prostock = $300 bucks

Freak Kit = 125 bucks

Mechanical goodness and accuracy with almost any paint made FTW .

Okay I should have mentioned I'm looking for is a fast electro.  I already have a mech gun.

I don't want Cockers or Impulses.

I really want to get a new gun, not used.

From what I can tell phil, they're pretty much the same thing. Just like Eclipse made the E-Tek to be a cheaper alternative to the newer egos, the PMR is just old-tech in a new package for cheap.

________EDIT____________

I'd suggest looking on e-bay or whatnot for a good Angel or DM series marker. I'm not a fan of the design of the PM series of matrixes. A timmy is another good one that will be cheap online.

I would say to look into a 2k2'd Timmy or a DMLCD. Both are awesome guns that you can find with a fair amount of upgrades for cheap on http://www.ebay.com - www.ebay.com or http://www.pbnation.com - www.pbnation.com .

Well as a PMR owner i can say this gun is sweet.  The body is smaller than the pm5 and 6.  Unlike a Pm5 it comes with a clamping feedneck and a board with different firing modes.  The bolt design is different than all other matrix's, it alows for very little kick and is very delicate on paint, with no lpr to adjust.

And if you want to buy new you may have a hard time with the pm5 since there now making the pm7.  I bought my PMR used for $400 and it came with a UL trigger, hybrid feedneck, and ultralite barrel.

We've got both at home. the pm5 belongs to dad and mom has the proto.

pmr stock was 300(on boxing day) plus tax, and the pm5 with clamping feedneck, new trigger, orange cf bolt, virtue chip on a lucky board with a reloader b with b charge batteries and a 14'' UL barrel was 600$

Accurcy wise, ive set them both up with the ul and feel the pm5 to be slightly more precise, but nothing much. Both shoot ropes, but iam no fan of the pmr's rubbery grip and trigger. Both guns shoot ropes, and the pmr on stock settings had little to no kick. the pm5 either, but dad doesnt play around with his settings.

How about a vision shocker? my brother has one with a blackheart, ndz bolt and freak and all am barrel and the thing shoots realy well, better than the pmr and pm5, plus they go for rather cheap on hte net. 500-600$... a little over budget but well worth it imho, id take that over the pmr and pm5 any time, its just so much more precise and tight!

For someone who asked why HPA tanks needed regs on them, I would suggest getting something more user friendly for you like the PMR or Ion. Both simple guns that don't need a lot of know how.

Dangerous Power Fusion. I know I metion this marker alot, but its because its good. Its like getting a Legend in a slightly bigger and more affordable package.

Did you even read the whole thread?

Anyway are PMR's Low pressure.  Because I want a gun that uses an HPA tank not an LPA tank.

It says is runs on 150psi so I'm guessing it's LP but I don't want it to be...?

You want a low pressure gun. A regular HPA tank with a high pressure output will do fine on it. The reg on the gun will bring the pressure down to the needed pressure. You have a lot to learn buddy. Kinda embarassing.

k thanks I just didn't know the reg could bring down the pressure that much.  From 800 -900 psi all the way down to 150psi.

If I don't ask I won't know.

How do you expect an even smaller reg like the one on the HPA tanks to bring the pressure from 4500psi to 850 psi? I would say the drop from 850 to 150 and even a lot lower than that is not that amazing.

Cause you have one.  jk.

Cause they often seem to cost lots of money before they are really great.

Plus they are much more complicated than the ion and PMR's and I hardly understand them yet.

I like the look of DM's and PM's better.

Well, just sayin', E1ed 'cockers with eyes go as low as $250 for a good one. That's about as good as anything else out there, and there are a lot of options for one, and e-'cockers are a lot easier to maintain than mech 'cockers, as the only real timing needed is dwell.

Just sayin'.
