Overall a pretty basic setup.
- 14" PMI Razor Barrel - 5" barrel (derived from a stock 98 barrel, that's my work on there) - Brass Eagle 20OZ CO2 - PMI remote - Pen spring trigger mod - No idea what the pod holder is, but it works for 2 pods and my CO2 - 280 round hopper, extension was done by use of a stock tippmann hopper with the addition of a half a can of parmesan cheese. The lid on it was my work as well.

yea, it is pretty sloppy...
to tell you the truth, that 5 inch barrel looks to be kinda useless... and you might wanna add a little more porting further down the barrel, that little bit at the end isnt going to help much as the paintball zips by
that hopper was good idea and all, but aesthetically(sp?) it leaves much to be desired...
is that your first modding? if so thats actually not bad... a little practise and a change of materials and you might turn out some sick stuff

Yeah it's my first modding. Actualy, I didn't put in the porting at all, I chopped the barrel off just before the standard porting. All I did was file in some teeth. It works fine for now, maybe I'll put in some porting later though. Lol yeah and the hopper, hah, well it may be the ugliest thing you ever saw but it works for me and in the 4 years I've been playing with it, the part that sticks up has only been hit twice.
Yeah, this is all my first modding.

Actualy, the tank came like that and I put stickers on the hopper. See, I'm from central Virginia and I kinda thought it'd be funny to see how red neck of a look I could give it.
So anyways, I'd like to know ways of improving actual performance now. I'm good with the barrels I have on it, but what should I do next? I'm thinking I'll go for an electric hopper and maybe double trigger w/ response trigger system?

actually, if you are going to get an RT a double trigger will be the last thing you want... sweet spoting an RT with a double trigger can be a <self-censored>!!!!
theres some cheap upgrades you can get that really improve the performance of a 98, heres a brief list:
Polished Internals (mostly just your time) Shocktech Superfly Bolt (20 to 40 bucks) Maddman Spring Kit (10 to 25 bucks) Rocket Cock 2 (20 to 40 bucks)
Note: those prices are in canadian dollars, so their actually a little bit less than that for you guys...
and if your looking into a hopper, i would personally recommend the ricochet AK, looks great on a 98, and only runs for about 50 buck or so...

That's what I thought ^
And also, What good does polished internals do? I heard it don't do squat. Same with the rocket cock, aside from looking good, it doesn't affect your gun. Tell me if I'm wrong.

You play at Pev's often? I live IN DC and work in Alexandria. The GF lives out in Centreville. I'll be playing at Pev's in Leesburg Sunday the 25th even though the weather is going to suck huge donkey privates. The things you do for team practice......

Pevs? I play in some of here big "war" events, I don't go more then a couple times a year. It's a long drive from here and the 25th? (today) I've got 101 degree fever, I'm not going anywhere. lol I play out at Skyline Paintball in Strasburg. Very good place. You should try it sometime. Right off 81 you know.

when it comes down to a rufus dawg vs a superfly you really have to try both...
ive never tried a rufus so i dont know, but i went with a superfly since ive never heard of a RD until now...
stock bolts arent better either... until u have tried both you dont know the difference, it may be a small change but i think its worth it...
also polished internals can increase you air efficiency a bit and makes your gun cycle smoother...
rocket cock keeps junk out of the gun (where i play its mostly sand and dirt so its worth it to me)

I had spoken with Bruce A. Frank and he told me the tests he did with numerous
bolts. The rufus dawg being the only one that cups the ball and
distributes the pressure on the ball better not only causes less breaks
but he reported better accuracy... plus when there is a break the ouside of the bolt is shaped to catch the pieces of the shell.
By then I had just bought and paid shipping for the Superfly. Then cause of Bruce I bought the RD... it was better.

Rocket cock I would consider, but accuracy isn't a huge concern for me so I'll just leave the bolt.
Besides, just out of curiousity, were you people talkin about front or rear bolts?
