Alright, I am interested to see... What is the more liked image. I shot this today off the cuff, snap shot kind of deal. The first image has a very light, fast touch up job (I want to see if that type of image is the more liked, just the more real looking thing) The second is a multi-step air brushing operation.   I get a TON of mixed opinions on what portraits should look like, so I decided to go to a vaster opinion base. |

The first, as the latter looks too fake. Too plastic.

I think the second one looses some of the shadow in the cheeks. It's lost any "texture" necessary for a close up. Kind of like an oriental mask. Good try though. ------------- I bring annihilation and cheap red wine! |

The third one gives her a nice angelic appearance. I like them both a lot, but for pure portrait the first one is the best.

First, if you were better at airbrush you might be able to fix some blemishes but you'll need practice. -------------

I like the first.
Unless you're specifically going for an airbrushed look you can't beat the kind of detail and shading you get in the first picture. Those kinds of details, in the lines, freckles, hair texture, etc... are what make the shot as good as it is, especially (I feel) with black and white. -------------

She's fourteen, of course she wants to look like a model. The first is far more attractive. But if you had only shown the second, I'd think that was how she always looks.

You'll notice I also fixed the bump in her nose, and adjusted her grin just a touch. She still much prefers the second, in the end the models opinion is what matters... but I like to hear what every one thinks. |

I have to say, the eye for detail here is amazing. There. Interestingly enough, looking at the original... that lip thing is completely natural - that's kinda goofy.  |

Definitely like the unedited version the most...but, frankly, the shot is totally boring. Looks like any shot you'd find in a actors portfolio, and that means it's boring by definition.
I guess I'd be a bigger fan of it if she was ridiculously hot...but now we can't all have what we want, can we? ------------- Yes, I'm Pariel. Hopefully, I can get my old account back. We'll see though. |

She's actualy pretty cool when she is not around her other girlfriends. The second she starts hanging with her other friends she becomes such a ditzy blond it makes me want to shoot my face. No full body shots, I was looking for critisism on portraits. |
