i was playing yesterday at one of my local fields and had a little trouble getting consistant at the chrono (field limit was 3 shots under 260fps) and i either i kept spiking or i was getting huge drop off... i know a palmer's stab would fix this and wouldnt need to be changed if i decide to go HPA in the future

so i knows theres 4 types of stab's but i dont know which i need...

i want to screw the stab into my power tube and run the line down to my ASA from the stab, which version do i need???

Do you have the maddmann spring? or another spring kit like I told you a little while back?  It might help, same with an RVA, they help adjust the velocity more accurately than the side VA.

First of all you don't need HPA if you get a Palmers stabilizer.  Some will say it works better with CO2.  It was made to handle CO2 - it's the best on the market and you can trust it 100% to work get with CO2.

It doesn't mean that HPA is out of the picture, I would recommend HPA but you don't need it at all.

If you don't feel like forking out tons on HPA I'd say Get the Palmers Male Stabilizer or if you like running a remote then get the Female Stabilizer.

The Vertical tank and the remote combined with the Female Stab should mean you don't get velocity spikes or problems like that again.

If you don't like remotes, go with the Male version and anti siphon your tank and then you should be set.

Or if you really want to and have the money get HPA with your Palmers, but I'd test it with CO2 first to see how you like it and if you even need to upgrade to HPA.

Hope that helps.

Well it depends what type of marker you have and what exactly you mean screw it into the power tube... if you have a 98 C you'd want an inline and you would need to mill the gun like US_Army_guy did in the Marker Gallery for Jan/Feb tippy of the month.

But you see the male also attaches into the powertube except there is a Vertical Adapter attaching the male stab and the powertube together.

If you have an A-5 I think what you'd want is the male
stab and you'd attach it to the powertube with the vertical adapter.

I don't know if an inline would work on the A-5.   So ya I suggest the Male stab.

The choices you have are not which you need, but how you want your marker to look. The simplest it the male Stabilizer used with the vertical adapter which places the regulator protruding from the front grip.

The "Inline" is similar but with a fitting that allows you to screw it directly into the CVX (power valve). The Female is designed to be attached so that the gas bottle can be screwed directly into it and must be place appropriately. The last one is the "Sideline." My signature picture below shows one. It is plumbed (IN and OUT ports) "backwards" to the method used with the other two, but similar to the Female Stabilizer.

I wouldn't recomment the Sideline because it requires some work to fit to the 98 style marker, but as you see below, it can be done. I used it here because I found it in a close-out sale.

i want to screw it directly into the CVX, sort of like the purple thing on your gun bruce

i have a 98c its listed in my sig, and i didn't say i was going to get HPA, i said i want to get a palmers for my co2 problem, i dont want to buy an x-chamber because it would useless if i decide to go the HPA route in the future.

i dont want to put the palmer on my front grip, i want the stab in a vertical position screwed in my CVX, and then run the line from the tank (which is on a drop) to the palm

i just need to know which one is the one to do that...

As I explained it great detail in my last post it's the inline.

http://www.tippmann.com/forum/wwf77a/forum_posts.asp?TID=164 838 - here

The first marker has the inline on it (by US_Army_guy).

sorry, forgot to look...

Ya, the way US_Army_Guy has his stab is the way i want it...

so you said thats an inline right?

but looking at the length of the stab now, im a little concerned if my drop is going to fit, and i think i might need a shorter gas line...

anyways, what US Army guy did is almost exactly the look im going for, just without the stock and with a drop forward instead on a remote...

EDIT: i just grabbed my marker and compared to US army guy's gun, the drop will work no problem...

The thing is through, i don't really want to have to mill my gun... is there anything i can do to get the same setup but no milling? or am i stuck milling my receivers...

Then go back an re-read my previous post. I EXPLICITLY answered your question. The "purple thing" is a Volumizer used with a low pressure kit.

Certainly no reason to apologize, you are welcome!

You do not need to mill your marker for the Inline Stabilizer to fit. You need an extended fitting. The hole in the bottom of the marker may have to be opened up carefully with a larger drill bit (take everything out and then bolt the halves back together to chase the hole with a larger bit) so there is clearance for the wrench flats on a fitting such as the one below. You may not find this specific style, but you get the idea.

Yes, Lowes, Home Depot or an automotive parts store will have these brass fittings. An automotive speed shop will have aluminum ones like the blue "T" in my signature picture. The aluminum brands are Earl's and Aeroquip...both cost about twice the brass fitting cost.

If you cannot find the extended length fitting (regular automotive store should have them) then two of these screw together will do the trick (aluminum or brass).

The first marker has the inline on it (by US_Army_guy).

Just for future reference, US_Army_Guy has a male stab on his gun. He is using a 1/8 NPT to .825x14 NGO fitting. The 1/8 screws into the valve and the male stab screws into the other end.

Well I guess that is why he milled it. But he could have installed and extension fitting like the one I posted above and not have had to do that.

I would gather that the had the male and adapted as he saw fit for it to work with his marker. But is one hasn't bought the stabilizer yet, then the Inline with fittings would  require less alteration.

You are right. I wasn't trying to suggest USArmyGuy's setup over the one you had provided. I was merely trying to rectify phil's post.

I understood that. I had not seen that type of male adapter before.
