galifianakis is amazing... kind of a jerk, but really funny. just don't interrupt him or ask him to tell a certain joke.

Greg Giraldo =/= funny.
That man does not make me laugh. Or, the one time I saw him on Comedy Central he didn't.

Christian Finnegan was at my school earlier this year, Galifanakis will be here in early April, and Aries Spears was here a few weeks ago.

Just got back:
- Christian Finnegan = Was the host of the whole thing, just did tiny 15 minute interludes in between each act. He was not that bad, some of it was actually pretty damn good, although so much of it just seemed a little out of place. During the third intermission after Zack people started heckling him, telling him to get off stage and put Zack back. He is not that good at fighting off hecklers, he really lost his step after that.
- Nick Thune = Easily the weakest of the four. Some of his stuff was alright, but it seemed like it was just a bit too far out in left field for the audience. I thought he was good, but the room gave him silence most of the time.
- Zack Galifianakis = Clear winner of the night. The first half of his set absolutely sucked. He was stumbling through jokes, and not in that "awkward funny" way, like the "I don't want to be here" way. He redeemed it though, tearing off his clothes off to reveal a little orphan Annie dress costume, lip-syncing 'Tomorrow' while tearing off his sketch pad. The last two slides on the sketch pad were: "North Korea, Iraq, Iran. What do we do?", and he ripped it off to reveal "KILL DANE COOK." He finished up by tossing glitter in the air as the spotlight went out.
- Greg Giraldo = After two comedians who do a character, it was nice having a 'realist' comic on stage. He was on his game, sometimes just dropping the joke list all together and just talking to the audience. I think he got the most consistent laughs of all of them. At the end, he was apparently ignoring the stage manager's waving, so eventually she just shouted out "TIMES UP!" He just laughed it off and kept going for close to another ten minutes. He also commented on Dane Cook after someone shouted "Kill Dane Cook!" from the audience. He was like "don't you guys feel the least bit bad? It was your demographic who built the guy up, now you all hate him? Not that I care, I think it is about damn time, I hate that ------." That got him a standing ovation and he decided to just leave stage on that.
