American beer has quality. Not all of it (Every country that makes beer has its best and worst) but we Americans can make some good stuff (and some bad, but we dont need to worry about that). -------------

Yes. It's like...$1 difference. Now I know people out there are like "OMG MAYNE, GET LIEK, BLUE RIBBON, YOU CAN GET 200 CANS FOR THREE FIDDY!" That's stupid. I'd rather spend the extra dollar fifty to step up from some random low end beer with a bad taste, to something that's actually enjoyable. Again, I like to enjoy a drink, not just down it, wince, and hope it kicks in. And heck, if anything, I spend MORE when I'm feeling the alcohol. |

Now that seems like an over-generalization. There are a lot of small breweries in the U.S. that make some very good quality beer. Sam Adams does indeed make good beer, and they are probably the most known for it. But to say that Sam Adams is the only good American beer is a stretch. Rogue Brewery makes a brown ale (Dead Guy Ale) that beats Sam Adams Brown Ale any day. Also what about Hornsby's and Woodchuck? Those are some pretty good draft ciders that are made in the U.S. But really, I have to agree that most well known American beers aren't that great. Besides Sam Adams and the aforementioned ciders, the only other American beers that I buy frequently are PBR and Rolling Rock. its there only good well known one, imo. im sure there are thousands of micro-brewers and such that make beer way better the SA. just like canada, all the big name beers like labbatt and molson suck. but there are many good not as well known like steam whistle and alexander keiths. ------------- Canadians do it on top.
