To put the apex bit on the a5 barrel you would need the UMS apex adapter.

Is the Apex tip available? I mean without having to purchase the entire barrel?
I don't think it is, at least I haven't seen it anywhere.

I'm just curious, because I was thinking of picking one up and if I don't have to buy the whole thing...that would be good.

Ya and the UMS mod is only 15$ now, they dropped the price like 1.5 months ago.

You could buy the Ironhorse and resell it brand new but without the Apex tip to someone that doesn't know much about it.

Read the tech specs on the adapter CAREFULLY.

Take note was to what Outer Diameter is necessary for the Apex tip to work. It will NOT work on a Lapco, for example.
Don't think that the adapter will magically make the Apex tip work on any barrel of your choosing... chances are, it won't.

That said... I have the UMS adapter for which I put my Apex tip on the various J&J Ceramics I have... and it works great.

Just a little savings. A seller on Amazon (Ultimate Paintball) has them NIB for $79.50 plus $7 shipping.

Thank you Carl... Thank you

I only mentioned buying and selling the Ironhorse cause it's what I'm doing to get the Apex Tip, shroud, shroud rails and bipod for really cheap in the long run.

As mentioned the UMS is the best, easiest and smartest choice imo.
